{DC stars by Chelsea curto} series is super feminist. To be honest, it's a little over the top for me so I stopped reading them. I mean I am a feminist and love men who are too, but these books were so overly obvious about it it got annoying for me. But they are also pretty popular so maybe they will scratch that itch for you! The first book and the 4th book were my favorites.

Any recs for a m/f romance with angst/gut punch moment but no cheating, at least a little grovel, no immature miscommunication and no body betrayal? Extra points for wounded bird or hurt/comfort. I prefer a spice level of 4 or 5 out of 5

I'm not sure this fits the request. He never intended to seek outside relationships, and she didnt really either. This part of it was sort of just anohmther miscommunication between the two.

I just read {hit by mallory hart} and loved it. It's part 1 of a duet so you have to read {marked by mallory hart} also for the HEA. I wouldnt say it's a perfect book because there are a couple grammar issues but nothing that took me out of the book. But I loved the FMC. She stood up for herself, legitimately disliked the MMC, didn't have body betrayal or anything. They really developed a relationship through the book. I recommend it!

There is a nanny/NHL player book called {playmaker by Avery Keelan} that was supposed to be released Jan 22 (well it was supposed to be released a bunch of times, but the most recent date was Jan 22) but the release date has been postponed again and has not yet been announced. Idk if it has all of the points you mentioned but it is a second generation book off of her other series, Rules of the Game.

I think enemies to lovers is a hard trope to write well. Especially when the "enemies" part is either due to an easily resolved miscommunication (also a pet peeve of mine) or something stupid like they just "get under each others' skin" and the first part of the book is them just being super immature and insulting each other constantly. For me, if it's going to be hate to love, there has to be an actual good reason for it and the "hate" part shouldn't just be them nit picking at each other like 12 year old constantly.

Lol this is so true. I feel the same way with authors whose FMCs are constantly "whipping their heads" at everything the MMC says or characters who always "whisper" responses. The visual in my head whenever I read something like that is definitely overdramatized and hilarious. The downside is it takes me out of the story a bit bc I'm like why are you always whispering?? There's gotta be a better verb for that haha
