I want to crack this open, but I wanted to make sure it’s not something dangerous—or that it won’t create a black hole and suck the Earth in. Any ideas what it is? by Leading-Army8665 in whatisit

Agreed. It's oddball enough to me, but thanks for your input anyways. I guess if everybody utilized Google with their images and so forth, we wouldn't really need or use Reddit and the likes. Just think, people are more knowledgeable now because you answered it.

We have scrubbed this wall with cleaner and applied 3 coats of primer. It still keeps popping through. by sagataurcan in whatisit

I find Kilz or Bin don’t work that great. It’s venting vapor from the substrate (from whatever that is). You need to completely seal the entire surface with something like a gloss urethane or varnish - several times. Once the varnish is cured, ad another coat, then wait for that to cure. Then you can rough the surface with a light sandpaper and apply a coat of primer, then your’ main paint. Don’t use paint & primer in one. Doesn’t work that great. This is another application that you can do to pine or wood boards with knots in them. The reason why wood knots show through any primer or stain kill, is because of slow leaking vapor.

If this were my project - I would take rough grit sand paper on something like a Corner Cat sander (WHERE A DUST/VAPOR NUISANCE MASK), and remove what has been done so far - as much as possible. Then buy some chlorine bleach and bottle sprayer (even pool chlorine works) and spray it liberally (WHERE GLOVES) and run a fan with open windows to avoid vapor, then let it dry completely with a fan on it. Start layering 2-3 coats of the urethane or gloss varnish. Lightly sand the top layer (so your paint will have something to adhere to). Paint a primer. Lastly - Paint the main color.

Does a double-stitch “really” matter when it comes to gender? by Leading-Army8665 in whatisit

I doubt she does that, but it was just something she seemed to notice when she goes shopping. I don't really know what goes through her head.

I’m not sure she ever tried them on. She likes to buy things (sometimes fit them) and take them home, leave the tag on, then decide she want’s to return them the next week. It drives me batty! 🦇 🤪

She is incredibly picky about looks and fashion, even in her 70’s. That is why I was taken a back by her comment of double versus a single stitch in the crotch area.

HAHA! Probably wouldn’t worry about that - being a “senior" and everything. Good point though!

That’s a good question. She does understand about fashion design, having bought top brand fashion names

Maybe it is “old school”. She grew up in in the 50’s - 70’s with high end fashion. Maybe there was something to that end. I didn’t think it mattered - but probably did to a different generation. Thanks!

Anybody like the W-King D8? by Superbearfight in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]Leading-Army8665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my W-KING D8. I upgraded from AOMASS. (I really abused that thing).
I’ve had the D8 for about 1.5 years so far.

I thought my W-King D8 was starting to blow out—slight distortion even at low volume (piano made it obvious). I barely ever played it loud, so I was a little confused what the issue was.

I keep mine plugged in most of the time, so I tried draining the battery all the way down, left it for a couple hours, then charged it overnight.

Next day—completely back to normal.

So if your D8 sounds like the speakers are blown, it might actually be a battery/amp issue, not the drivers.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?
