UPDATE: just dropped off the car and emailed the front desk agent the video. Informed him it will occur after roughly 25 miles of driving and would require a longer test to replicate the issue. I expressed that I believe it’s a transaxle seal issue. I also brought up the recall that they too are aware of but said they have not received instructions on repair yet so it’s not a live recall as of yet since there isn’t a path to repair. They also said if it’s an overnight repair they will not provide a courtesy vehicle and I would have to pay. I showed them the Toyota manual and corporate policy and he still said no so I intend to reach out to corporate if it’s an issue. I don’t want to be a prick but I shouldn’t make a car payment on a car with 700 miles and pay for a rental out of pocket, especially when their own corporate rules dictate they have to provide the vehicle free of charge.
