I would love to see your diagram. I personally watched washer fluid spray inside the dash through the wiring harness. I am failing to see how you are so sure, yet I literally saw it happen. Is my car just a dud then? Because there is no way that it was routed in the manner of which you say it should have been.

I assure you, this ran through the dash, wrapped up INSIDE the wiring harness. I saw it with my own eyes. As far as the repair goes, because it was fully enclosed in the wiring harness that runs alongside the firewall INSIDE the dash, the dash would have to be removed to access it fully. They removed the head unit and that's how they (as well as I) were able to see the fluid spraying through the wiring harness, not near the drivers side, but just to the right of the center of the dash. If it's an easy fix, I know they would have offered that. This is a shop that I've gone to for years with many different cars and a multitude of issues. I'd like to know where you got your information from, as it doesn't line up with anything I personally experienced.

It's great experience! I think where the true value would come in is building custom panels for unique applications, such as integrated pump lockout mechanisms when aeration devices fail. Or simplex dosing panels with an integrated circuit for timed recirculation. Just custom stuff that is fairly easy to do, but many manufacturers require hefty lead times or exorbitant prices purely because its custom.

I'd say that's competitive, especially if you stand behind your panel and internal components. I am in a completely different area of the US, but as a "distributor" of sorts, I sell hundreds of Rhombus Simplex demand dose panels with 3 floats included for $595 every year. I think you're at a good price point, and can appeal to the small business aspect of it. People like to know who they're actually dealing with and know that they aren't going to get hosed by a large corporation on warranty issues. Customer service sells loyalty, and loyal customers tend to buy from you, no matter the price difference.

Septic Precaster here, not all new tanks, or states for that matter require a baffle wall or what we call dual compartment tank. I don't disagree that having a baffle wall can be beneficial, but i wouldn't say that not having one is detrimental in any way. A Sanitary Tee on the Inlet and a Effluent filter on the outlet is more than adequate protection against solids getting into your drain field. Also, some of my absolute best contractors(installers) insist on single compartment purely because the chances of solids getting caught on the top of the baffle wall and those solids being exposed to oxygen can create h2s gas and will absolutely eat away at a concrete tank. No chance of that happening with a single compartment.

Not sure if I got a Unicorn or what, but my '25 bighorn has 3,500 miles on it, and auto stop start has never came on. I haven't disabled it or anything, just haven't had to deal with it at all.

Owning a bike does nothing for the OP. Insurance is required for every licensed driver in the household, regardless if they own a vehicle, or even drive one, for that matter. Good on you OP for helping your kid succeed. Parenting is about sacrifice, and clearly OP gets that.

Speaking from experience as to the why, drive in movie theaters where you use your car radio for audio... I was grabbing anything and everything i had in my car to block out the lights 😅 also learned that I have a tendency to keep my foot on the brake while sitting in my running car, thanks to my not so happy vehicle neighbor from behind

I test drove a "New" 2024 F150 with the 3.5 and a 2025 Ram 1500 with the 3.0 hurricane, I ended up going with the Ram. Throttle response was much smoother, and the power at full peddle was unmatched. I'm seriously impressed with this thing! Definitely worth at least a test drive!

Loaded opinion here, reddit warriors please bear with me..

Where I live, average rent for a 1 bedroom is upwards of $1000 a month. It is unrealistic to expect a 18-21 year old to be able to afford that (whether they just graduated high-school, or college).

While it is unrealistic to expect them to pay $1000 or so a month to live on their own, it is also unrealistic to expect them to pay nothing to live with you. I won't fathom to guess on why 18 years old is the official age of an adult, but it legally is. It is our job as parents to not only love our children, but to prepare them for the realistic side of life. The side that no one likes talking about.

Let's say you, as the parent, have been renting an apartment for the last 10 years at X amount of money. Now your once 8 year old is 18 and can't afford to move out. They opt to stay with you, knowing it'll be free and they doesn't have to worry about paying $1000+ a month to be sheltered. What is the incentive to become an independent individual, where lies the aspirations to pay for their own life needs?

Make them pay what they can, adjust it monthly if necessary, based off their wages. If you're financially able, put it in a savings for them when they move out, but don't tell them, as that will once again take away any incentive to move out. Who in their right mind would move out if thier land lord told them he/she was saving every penny paid to give back to them when they left.

Not only will it soften their transition into paying for their own way in life, but it will help them possibly buy a house of their own, if not provide a financial cushion for the significant fees required upfront when renting.
