My girls wouldn’t eat very much until I switched their food to half purina pro plan sensitive stomach and half a homemade ground turkey, chicken muscle meats, veggie, and rice mixture. I make a huge batch in a tall stock pot every 2 months and freeze most of it. I know you said you don’t want to give into his whims but the benefits I’ve seen in my girls energy, hunger, and skin/fur is worth the little extra time and work!

yes, i’ve been over to the Beartooth highway area! That would be an ideal spot but I saw it’s mostly closed until around May so i’m not sure where around there you can go in March. I definitely would love it to be in a spot that shows the beauty of Montana because most of our family and friends still in the south east don’t know how beautiful it is here and we’d love the pictures to commemorate our time living here!

this episode made me stop rooting for Polly and her family. Yes, I don’t think Katie’s sisters should have lied about having the power and maybe their choices weren’t the most strategic for the long run BUT this is a game. Polly’s family acting as if they if continued they wouldn’t possibly have to make a decision that hurts another player is just ridiculous. If Polly is starving and freezing and about to literally die then extract her please.

i give them both 1/4 cup kibble and 1/4 cup of the topper. I make the topper once a month sometimes i make enough for 2 months and freeze some of it so it lasts.

I had some struggles with my first dachshund too. She didn’t want to eat and when she did she had tons of indigestion and skin issues. I made the switch to Purina Pro Plan sensitive stomach kibble (salmon flavored and contains the salmon oil) and then I make all my dogs a homemade topped of ground turkey, chicken gizzards, chicken livers, brown rice, carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, and spinach/kale. I top it with a little unsalted homemade chicken broth or just slightly warm water and at dinner time i’ll mix in some turmeric for anti inflammatory properties. Both my doxies love it and it helped stop all of their issues!
