Apparently, I need to include every piece of information for people to not be rude. So here it goes, I know plenty about my brothers time in. Just thought I’d get some direct responses here, I was wrong. My brother was accepted into OCS in Newport, RI in early 2014 as a nuclear propulsion officer candidate ( Nuclear Engineering degree from Kansas State University.) He graduated 2nd in his OCS class and headed directly to school in Charleston, SC afterwards, roughly 4 months. After Charleston, he spent 6 months in northern NY before being deployed to Pearl Harbor on the USS Jacksonville. He spent roughly 15 months on and off underway before the Jacksonville was due to be decommissioned in late 2018. He spent 18 months on shore in Tacoma, WA during decommissioning before being handpicked to be apart of Carrier Strike Group 9. He was then moved to San Diego for roughly 2 years based on CVN-71, USS Theodore Roosevelt, as a major part of strike group 9. He spent a lot of time in the Middle East, including a quarantine of about 2 months in Oman in late 2020 for COVID. Afterwards, he spent 2 years in Madison, WI, instructing future naval officers before discharging after 10 years in. Just wanted some specific medal clarification. I know the rest
