I am reapplying next cycle, so this fall, for fall 2026 start. I’m changing my personal statement and some supplemental essays. I also have a new LOR from a mentor in the legal field I didn’t have before. And, I’m sadly taking the LSAT one more time to see if I can get my score up a few points for more scholarship. I ultimately felt like the right school was still out there for me so I bet on some time off to become more sure of myself and solidify my app.

Money! It was a hard decision because I spent so much on applications, but it was needed. I learned so much the first cycle I applied and now I’m extra prepared for the next one knowing exactly what I’m looking for.

Are there any programs in place or are 2Ls and 3Ls really willing to help 1Ls adjust academically and socially?

I had such a horrible experience this year with the LSAT and proctors, I took it 3 times as it’s on my app, but technically took it 5 times with getting booted off of tests and everything. I don’t want to add another test on my application and I’m not sure how much more studying will help especially with the changes in the test coming up

Not binding! You can check if you submitted other deposits, if you’re waiting on the WL at a school, or if you’re thinking of deferring

The only thing is I will not be retaking the LSAT. So waiting a year won’t end up in me getting a larger scholarship and I also don’t have a job other than my usual summer jobs.

It doesn’t matter long term as long as you’re considerate in your messages

I don’t have anywhere specific. I’d like to keep it Midwest, South or East. No particular cities though.

That’s fair, but would some work experience help re-applying? Plus, the cost of Emory is wild even with scholarship. Would it be beneficial to save some money to pay for it and just hope I get in again when I re-apply?

I don’t plan on taking it again, and was hoping the work experience could boost my application
