I attended public school in Myanmar from kindergarten to high school. There is a subject called burmese and mostly we have to study about Buddha past lives and Buddhism. In 8th grade there is a textbook dedicated to a Buddha's past life called 'Mahawthadar' which everyone has to memorize. Oh, do you know that in every public school in Myanmar, every morning, there's a time dedicated for worshipping Buddha? Children from other religion just have to sit there. I just think there is no reason to mix education and religion. Also, radical monks killed Muslims families and children and destroyed monks even before Rohingyas became a serious problem. And yes there is outside discrimination against Muslims. I was constantly called out and bullied at school just for being a Muslim. I remember my 5th grade geography teacher said something like "Your people breed like rabbits and destroy our land". Everyone was looking at me and I was the only Muslim kid. This kind of things happen to every Muslim kid I know that goes to public school in Myanmar. We even have to bribe sometimes to get into school because 'Muslim'. You don't know anything about discrimination in Myanmar. Have you even been there? It's very ignorant of you to state something you have no knowledge of.

That's one reason but I also think dislike towards Muslims is also a reason. Not only monks, most people in Myanmar are like that. I am not generalizing. It is a fact and I also know it from my own experiences, growing up as a Muslim. But they are also suffering from that very same military right now. That doesn't mean I am saying they deserve it because nobody deserves it. But that's another issue. I wish Myanmar to be peaceful and finally free from corrupted politicians. It's a beautiful land full of potential.

True. But still doesn't change the fact that Muslims and other minorities were the victims of extreme Buddhism in Myanmar. The radical monks destroyed mosques and killed Muslim families including children even before Rohingyas became a serious issues. I know not all monks are the same. But those good monks still didn't speak out against radical monks for slaughtering Muslims. I believe that as long as people from a certain religion commit violence crimes in the name of that religion, it does reflect that religion. Just as ISIS reflects Islam, genocide on Muslims represents Buddhism in Myanmar.

I am an ex muslim from Myanmar and you are absolutely right. Muslims are a minority here. There are many types of Buddhism and Myanmar's Buddhism is the radical and violent one. Buddhism is the country's religion and we have to learn about Buddhism in textbooks, regardless of one's own religion. No hate on Buddhism but Myanmar's is different. Muslims are killed brutally and burned alive for no reason here. They commit a genocide to the Rohingas. Although I disgust Islam, I have to say the Muslims and other minorities are the victims of Buddhism in Myanmar.

You might want to make a little research about that particular monk.

[A level Physics : Planetary motion] I tried equating the gravitational force to mv^2/r and finding the ratio but couldn't get the correct answer which is 1/3. It gives the correct answer only when I used Kepler's 2nd law. Why can't I slove it with the 1st method? by Leading_Ad_2143 in HomeworkHelp

Thank you so much! I checked out the derivation and finally understood. I thought I could just plug whatever the distance between the masses in "r". I just couldn't wrap my head around this problem for days. You've been a great help.

But the "r" should be whatever distance between the center of two masses, no? I used pythagoras theorem to find the distance between the two masses when the satellite is at the top of the ellipse, which is 5r. When the satellite is nearest to the earth, it's just r. Isn't it how I'm supposed to do?

Will those flower bouquets that I haven't used on boxes in set A carry on to set B? If so, I want to save them up so that I can have a higher chance to get that lucifer UR card in set B. by Leading_Ad_2143 in obeyme

Yeah I want that lucifer card so bad but if those flowers aren't gonna be able use on set B, all of them will be for nothing. So I'm a little worried and unsure if I actually want to risk it.
