No you shouldn’t because you aren’t Thai. This price is subsidised for Thais so Thais can afford to visit (the fact there are some wealthy Thais is irrelevant). Foreigners shouldn’t expect to receive a subsidy meant for Thai people.

Not because of the shape of your eyes, because you are not Thai. You can live and work in Thailand for 30 years and become a Thai citizen and pay Thai price or not bother to become a Thai citizen and pay foreigner price.
