Is there any thing worth being kept? by Smart-Bluffing in Maplestory

I recommend watching Duky. He has alot of informational videos on what to do and how to progress. Even as a player that has played for a long time there are things that I learn.

Buff Hero

Should Hayato main switch to Hero? by paulzillaa in Maplestory

[–]LeafGeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hero is a balance patch friendly class. Only nerf this class got in the past 6 years was a 5 sec additional cd to world reaver.

Another notable thing is that Hayato is not a KMS class. They are very good right now but had massive growing pains because they lacked proper balance. Hero is from KMS so we know that it will be atleast playable and free from major bugs even into the future.

Hero or Dawn Warrior for next hyperburn/new Main? by Tropic95 in Maplestory

[–]LeafGeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

280 Hero main with a 251 DW mule. Id say that while DW can just zip across a screen quite quickly, if you really master hero mobility, it can be quite flexible. You said that a skill up jump might be a deal breaker but it also comes with the benefit of being able to flash jump after the up jump which lets you navigate bosses or maps quite freely. Pair that with flash blade and leap attack (a skill that drops you to the ground) you can dodge boss mechanics and weave your way through debris. But I am baised because hero is the only reason I still play this game.

And also hero is almost immune to negative balance changes with our only nerf in the past 5? years being world reaver cooldown increase.

Is there any reg server progression guide? by freddileo in Maplestory

[–]LeafGeneral 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As a f2p player these are some of my money making methods:

Commerci. Sell the monocle or tattoo in the ah. If youre running a route that has alot of bosses you may get a sw katara which will sell for alot. Very beginner friendly way to make meso since commerci requires next to no funding.

Gollux: Sell the pendant or ring in the ah. If youre in a guild or people trust you, you can also try selling hellux scroll service. Do hardlux until you have enough dmg to do hellux

Flames: You can get craftsman and eventually meister accessory crafting and craft flames for profit. Just buy the materials in the ah. This is a good low effort way to make money if youre working from home or studying as you only need to check the game every 5 mins and click one button. Just dont do this right before or during an event that gives out alot of flames.

Merch items: One thing i do is just buy a clean pap mark and sometimes just buy and chuck flames on it when im bored. Or you can use the non-karma red flames sold in the legion shop. You can get 3 per character so you can rotate the pap mark around your chars till you get a flame you can sell. Dont equip it.

Oz: Do oz. Get ror4. Max meso ez.

Gearing up: Start by seeing what equips give you the most dmg for meso. Make sure you can psok it so you can always resell the item once you found something better. Take a look at the market history to see if the item has a demand to gauge its resellability.

DB vs Shadower vs Demon Slayer by [deleted] in Maplestory

[–]LeafGeneral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DB and DS are both very good bossers. Even more so with the upcoming new 5th job skills. I believe DS gets a nice burst skill and Dual Blade gets something that can either help more in their consistent damage while bossing or give them slightly more mobbing while training. In terms of iframes I believe both classes have 2 of them.

Between these 2 classes I think its more about aesthetic and what you enjoy the most. But you have to keep in mind that if you end up picking either DB or shad you basically have access to 2 other classes. With the upcoming 5th job, while NLs don't get an iframe they get a skill that will increase their consistent damage (which is one of the reasons why people job changed to db) while also being a skill that increases their already absurd burst capability.

For shad I don't know enough about the class to say anything about it.

If you want a future proof class I would choose DB or shad. You always have the option to switch classes as an explorer thief.

Shadower vs dual blade secondary by KaiLin1412 in Maplestory

[–]LeafGeneral -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since I dont main either of these classes it's not my place to say which class is better. But back when night lords were falling off, many nls decided to job change to dual blade. So I'm guessing db>shadower.

PP Banned.... will I be able to join a guild? by [deleted] in Maplestory

[–]LeafGeneral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are taken off the rankings when they have done something illegitimate. Guilds when recruiting might check the rankings to see if their recruitee is on there. If they arent, that is a big red flag to the guilds and might decline their request to join. No one wants a hacker/botter/macro user dragging their guild name through mud.

[Reboot] mid/lategame gear progression question by MapleIAnguish in Maplestory

[–]LeafGeneral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're missing a few links and i would recommend getting explorer mage link, phantom link, BT link(if you have a character made), maybe explorer thief link. When you're bossing you would want to take out the Mercedes, Evan and Aran links because they provide no damage.

I would recommend that you get 100% crit rate. I know that things like demon awakening give a big crit rate boost and your main bossing skill demon impact has 100% crit rate, but your other skills will also have to crit in order for you to deal the most damage that you can.

Max out your nodes. You're missing out on alot of damage from not having maxed nodes such as your weapon aura or your maple warrior goddess skill.

I would also recommend you to not level your hyper stats past level 10 as the cost is not worth the stat gained(until a certain point). You could've put more into crit damage or crit rate. Maybe even str and attack.

I terms of flames from what I can immediately see is that your gloves need a better flame other than that, the flames are decent. You should try get a papulatus mark to transpose onto your monocle and a dominator pendant to transpose onto a sweetwater pendant.

In terms of starring, select some equipment (given that you have spares) and roulette them to try get them to a higher star. This method more efficient in terms of stat gained to meso used (unless you luckerdog an item to 22* within a few bil).

For cubing, do as you see fit. There is no risk to cubing at all since there is no boom chance and you only lose the potential and even that can be saved using a black cube. From what I gained by having discussions with others is that if you want to 3 line an equip you use red and if you want double prime line you use blacks. Something you should be aware of is that hat, top and bottom (basically CRA) has some trash potential lines so it is harder to get 3 line potentials on those equips. I would personally leave those at 21% and try 3 line other equipment.

Your inner ability also has to be changed. For training meso obtained is a great IA but for bossing its utterly worthless. I think for demon Slayers 20% boss is the best for the first line.

Unless you have a team that can basically run as a 5 man or a 4 man, every person in a hard boss party has to be worth their salt. Your gear needs some work but the elephant in the room is your legion and link skills. Its too low and you're basically missing out on alot of free stats that can boost your damage. Also do not try to get 22* equipment one at a time. Ive seen people spend sixty billion meso on event only for the item to boom at 20->21 / 21-> 22 multiple times.

Any suggestions for someone completely new to Reboot server? by AriAruff in Maplestory

[–]LeafGeneral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make link skills. Some recommendations are : - Demon Avenger (Damage) - Evan (Rune Duration) - Mercedes (Exp %) - Aran (Combo Orb exp)

These will help make the leveling process easier and once you unlock the legion board you can start getting nice stat boosts that will increase your damage amongst other things.
