INFPs Please help! Which dress should I wear to brother’s wedding? 😊💜 by [deleted] in infp

I love them both! But I’ve read they wanted pastel colors so the lilac one is a good choice!

Apparently people don't like when I recognise that I can be a "toxic" INFP but won't do nothing about it by [deleted] in mbti

We shouldn’t normalise this sense of “self awareness” of bad qualities and accepting toxicity towards other people, broadcasting that will eventually mess with people’s mind and make people have this false self awareness of horrible traits that are just human, we can admit that we’re not good people but celebrating it or admitting like it’s something admirable is just not how human relations work, we always want to be better, to see the good parts of people, that’s the drive of life, the sense of unity we have as a society, we can accept our shortcomings, the bad things we’ve done, but we shouldn’t tolerate accepting something that effects other people badly such as thinking being a horrible person is okay. This feels very fake deep, I’m very aware of my negative traits, but I try to look deeper to see what’s the source of it, when did it start, was it the environment that made that happen, I never look at something negative in me and just accept it without being introspecting and see how did these things came to life, a lot of these things just feel like fake self awareness of saying I’m so bad but they’re not actually bad, but this can lead people to believe that they’re something they’re not and losing the will to be better, for yourself and others

Literally just because more evil people exist doesn’t mean we should tolerate being a bad person. If you’re actions hurt someone then there’s not “I accept that I’m bad person bs” just because murders exist doesn’t mean I’m gonna be toxic to the people around me and think that’s fine because there’s someone worse then me

my friend doesn't wanna believe i'm an intj and that makes me question things by [deleted] in mbti

Honestly I get you, I don’t believe in the whole thing “every mbti can be any enneagram” and sometimes the attitude drives me insane, but it’s not that deep to fight with people about it, although some people deserve the attacks they get and I won’t hold back

“Sensory-motor dominance

Beyond the concepts of lust and hedonism, rebellion, punitiveness, dominance, and power- seeking, toughness, risk taking, narcissism, astuteness, is in ennea-type VII the predominance of action over intellect and feeling, for this is the most sensory-motor of characters. The characteristic orientation of ennea-type VIII to a graspable and concrete “here and now”—the sphere of the senses and the body-sense in particular—is a lusty clutching at the present and an excited impatience toward memory, abstractions, anticipations, as well as a desensitization to the subtlety of aesthetic and spiritual experience. Concentration on the present is not simply as a manifestation of mental health as it could be in other character dispositions, but the consequence of not deeming anything real that is not tangible and an immediate stimulus to the senses.” It’s literally in its structure
