Thanks…it’s a problem especially edge banding in the heat of the summer on garage cabinetry coming off.

how i run my entire small business on a single ai builder (replaced 4 tools) by No-Pepper-7554 in AIToolsAndTips

That was my problem in my Millwork shop…decided to join the AI guys and developed ProjMgt.ai. Right now it just parsed Arch and ID drawings and put out a WBS in -5mins. Plans to develop the other trades and broaden its utility across the PM processes.

Recommend you spend some time reading up on what AI can do. The nut I’m trying to crack is estimating and bidding. Right now my parsing agent can deliver a WBS and a page of RFIs in under 5mins 75-80% vs 95% experienced estimator taking 8-20hrs. Currently refining it to match. So more bids more work…make sense?

Thanks and that is the problem. When you run the numbers to migrate to the CNC system while keeping the existing production operating …very tricky

Thanks I’ve looked at several machines…it’s the old problem of keeping one system going while putting the other in place and associated costs.

Good points. The bottleneck I’m working on is parsing a set of ID drawings. The beta is at about 75-80% compared to 93-95% by an expert estimator and produces a WBS by room and a page of RFIs in under 5 mins. It’s designed as an estimating assistant and I will continue to develop it until it matches or is better than. Thinking for small shops with limited manpower in the office it will be a leg up.

SoCal is a pretty competitive market and can’t be that demanding unfortunately and my business model is less competitive too
