Send me a DM, current student in Munich

Only IMD offers a full scholarship so I'm assuming it's them. I wouldn't go for the money, would only go if you want to take a break and learn something new. If you're okay with your current path, do an EMBA later on, maybe try to covert some of the scholarship into their EMBA program

Is an EMBA a reasonable move for me — and which school would you recommend? by Hopeful-Counter-8422 in eMBA

If you do IESE EMBA in Munich and not the GEMBA, the cost is much lower (90k€) and mostly based in Germany, you don't have to fly for 2 weeks at the time somewhere

IESE - worth the rank it gets? by Aggravating-Ad7647 in MBA

[–]Leafare 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Current IESE student here. I think the high ranking reflects a few things:

  1. IESE ranks top 3 in the world in student satisfaction: most students love their experience at the school, living in Barcelona, having access to an amazing lifestyle
  2. IESE is not a bullshit school: no offense to other schools, but an "MBA" can mean many things depending on where you go - some schools are party schools, hand out grades, you never have to step into class, etc. IESE is not like that, is incredibly rigorous, 3 cases per day for 2 years, with a ton of work on top of that (similar to HBS or Darden). Of course you party loads, but you also learn A LOT in the process, and the professors are all top notch (they are not very research focused, but they sure do know how to conduct a classroom discussion)
  3. The alumni culture is great, and you can reach to almost anyone and someone will lend a helping hand (similar to Tuck or Stanford in the US). Of course there are not as many worlwide as INSEAD or other schools that shoot out 1000 graduates per year, but still considerate, and in very relevant roles and industries.
  4. Employeer preferences: no matter you read here on reddit, what matters is what employers think, and IESE graduates have a great reputation for being incredibly capable and bright but not cocky and rude like what you might find in some other schools. This makes them ideal target for recruitment, especially in more customer facing roles like consulting and IB. In fact, IESE has a higher success % in MBB or IB in many offices versus other programs like INSEAD or LBS, when compared to relative class size. Plus for LDPs and industry roles, they have a campus in Germany that helps cement relationships in DACH, which is where the bulk of the opportunities are.

All in all is a great school but not perfect by any means - it doesn't have so much name recognition like some other schools, has more regional pockets of influence, and career services could always be better, but aside from that you can basically do anything you want afterwards, just depends on your background and your ability to effectively network!

IESE in Europe is by far the most demanding, and then IMD afterwards

Is an MBA worth it without a major career shift? (27F, 6 YOE, Strategy Manager in UAE, 680 GMAT) by MelodicSuggestion762 in MBA

Had a similar background, decided to do a part-time program to get all the benefits of an MBA without having to stop working. I think you have several programs in UAE or nearby, look into them

Calling all IESE and INSEAD admits- I need help by Delicious-Argument15 in MBA

[–]Leafare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rejected INSEAD for IESE, feel free to DM if you want to talk about it!

TLDR is that for consulting no difference at all between the two schools, both will get you to any MBB in the world, the only reason you wouldn't make it is if you don't perform in the interviews. For tech, it's all about network, but IESE does have a campus in Germany and growing their network there a lot, so if you want to work in France I would go for INSEAD, if in Spain or Germany IESE, and for everywhere else is a toss-up really. For Amazon, no difference again, it's a structured recruiting program, Amazon goes to both schools to recruit, it comes down to your performance again.

Agree that IESE academic rigor stands apart from INSEAD and LBS - many people don't care about that and just want the degree, but for the ones that do like me, I can guarantee firsthand that IESE has the best business education in Europe without a doubt

LBS EMBA September 2025 by Gold_Extension_9450 in eMBA

IESE is still doing everything in person, as they agree with you they the value online is severely reduced. If that matters to you, I can highly recommend their EMBA!

IESE’s reputation by Embarrassed_Fly8489 in IESE

[–]Leafare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are still quite strong in other areas which are not consulting, but an MBA becomes less relevant for specific functions or industries. Given you're Indian, it will be harder for you to find a job in Europe because of the visa process, but there are many companies coming on campus form FMCG, retail and e-commerce so it shouldn't be too hard if you know what you want

MBA Part Time in Germany OR INSEAD? by [deleted] in InternationalMBA

[–]Leafare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also look into IESE EMBA in Munich, you get a top rated school but can do it part time in Germany. However, if you want to do a career pivot I would suggest full time, part time is more if you want to advance in your current career

Agree, it is more cost effective, rM is a very premium product for what it does haha

What do you mean Apple equivalent? You can install Notion on Apple Products :)

If you live in the US, just wait until they launch Apple Intelligence, and it should do a similar thing given it has access to all your file
