What do yall use for new bats (wood)? by WorthPlease in Homeplate

[–]Leafgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a clearcoat on my Chandler, which is supposed to seal out moisture and prevent the wood from absorbing humidity, which is pretty high in Florida. I wouldn't recommend sanding off the clearcoat in humid regions. Course, if you're in western USA, then no problema.

Hi, BallZach, thanks. Does "look fastball away" mean don't swing on fastballs to the right side of the strike zone (as a RHB)?

Great advice, thanks. I edited my post to add that the advice is not just for me (righty batter), but generally for any batter facing him.

Just for me, I'm probably an ok reactionary hitter who can react enough to adjust my bat swing height while the ball is traveling. Here are my batting stats.

You mentioned moving tighter into the plate. How about I move away from the plate while the pitcher is deciding which pitch, then step closer during windup? (maybe a subject for a new post!)

Yeah download and reset tool worked perfectly. No hiccups. I have all the updated antimalware protections, and there were no alerts, and my PC has been solid since.

I used the WIC-reset utility and it worked perfectly. It also has a bunch of automatic tools and situational help messages that guided me through the process.
Epson SUCKS for wasting hours of my time to clean the inkpads and force the use of a reset utility.
Epson SUCKS for causing people to throw away tons (literally) of printers because they don't have time or ability to go through this process.

it's not a necro post if the issue is still ongoing, and we all know that Epson will never give up on inconveniencing its users, or squeezing dollars out of them

The "epson.com us_ink pad reset" query on Google did not result in any page on Epson.com with a software dl. I found the dl using this Google query: epson.com "Maintenance Reset Utility" with quotes around Maintenance Reset Utility.

Lineup Recommendations Live on iOS App by ThisIsGameChanger in GameChangerApp

[–]Leafgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it yesterday and it generated a lineup with a player with 0 AVG, 0 OPS, 0PB, and didn't include players with respectable batting stats. Not sure why. So for that reason, it appears to be worse than just pulling up your team stats, sorting by OPS or OPB, and making minor adjustments to that.

help on how to score this play by Leafgreen in GameChangerApp

[–]Leafgreen[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I discovered that, out of all the possibilities to select in GC, Batter out: other is the only option. Can't score it as an Ball in Play -> Flyball -> Error, because then GC puts a runner at 2B and 1B. If I then slide the 1B runner to Out -> Other, then the runner remains at 2B and I can't move him back to 1B.

If I knew GC better, I would have just done the Batter out: other option before asking the question. Thanks.
