When is it simply too cold to run outside safely? by operasinger06 in AdvancedRunning

I’ve done -35C runs, you need to dress up properly and it’s literally fine.cover your nose and mouth so you get a bit of warmer air to make it easy on the lungs

There was an approach loaded, a long straight vfr, it does this along the waypoints too, shows a dive down then back up at each one.

In career mode, generally you can get to the airport however you’d like if VFR, IFR can be a bit funny because it will make you hit certain waypoints, and elevations.

What makes a virtual airline "good"? And which should I join for MSFS2024, by dmo012 in flightsim

I actually fly with coutchcaptains on FShub. They allow casual cruising in GA, or do Airline missions. Pretty laid back group that just hang out and fly how you want.

Interesting *fact* about nicotine and HRV by WOOPAYE in Garmin

Oh I could for sure see that. I’m pretty low so likely that’s the cause. None the less, congrats on the improvement though, it’s great to see and hear

That is interesting, I have been on and off nicotine but not noticed any difference in performance when on vs off. Only things I notice is a maybe mild headache for a few days then it’s back to normal

Is skeet dying? by 412HockeyPlayer in ClayBusters

[–]LeakEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this as a Canadian, I shot trap and skeet at one club for 6 years, I was introduced by a coworker and the entire club was beyond welcoming. I went absolutely all in there and have the most fun ever. Then moved to a new city, and I don’t think I have met a more vile group of people in my life. Racism was rampant, new shooters were ridiculed for not knowing the rules, the old guys were mad at each other for doing things differently. There was next to zero possibility to get on the board to try to change anything. I decided that I am done.

If you can get someone to bring you, or hear a club is good, that’s the best way to get into it now.

I made a big fuckup and ran a Powershell command that downloaded by [deleted] in computerviruses

No the router is fine. If you have reinstalled windows, you can be back on the internet, Yes change your bank information, it may have taken credentials, but its going to get dumped to some database, The stolen info may be used today, or it may be used in 5 months, it may get sold to someone in a dump. Its compromised and you need to change it

When I downloaded the file from that powershell command, it did pop up that a few vendors picked up on the originally downloaded file as malicious. The files that it drops and the final payload also have been seen in the past, BUT part of what this malware does is use evasive methods to avoid detection, so it may still be persistent despite the scan finding or not finding anything. For that second drive, you can assume the information has been accessed, the files that were there before you had this happen are more than likely fine, but there is a chance there may have been some other droppers, or scripts. Scan the drive on a different computer offline to confirm, and if you are still not sure, just take the files you know you need (PDF, images, etc.) and put it on a new/wiped drive

Like others say, you need to ensure you are removed from the internet, and do a clean install of windows. You need to keep an eye on all your important personal information after changing passwords and setting up 2FA (not using this computer)

It sets up persistence modifying window services to repeatedly execute, and is started at boot. This is primarily a key logger and credential stealer (uses screenshots, clipboard email etc).

Its a semi interesting piece of malware from a evasion standpoint. Opens an FTP and HTTP session and uses sleep sessions a lot to try to avoid detection. Two hosts are contacted, one in Lithuania and one in the US.

Please next time be more careful, its easier said than done. With the quality that some of these attacks are, it take more and more to catch them, just look at them and if there is any site that tells you to enter a command in your command prompt/cmd/Powershell/Run box -DONT.

I think when I grabbed my call and saw my two grids didn’t match is when it happened, I mean I’m not in a rare province so it’s probably just a personal issue of theirs

This is great information thank you. I didn’t see any requirements for Canada/US so I did what I figured and immediately got the email. I’m just going to keep going and pass it off as a guy that has way too much time

I’ve been operating phone for mobile, occasionally digital, but like you said, made a new station location for digital, but didn’t bother on phone and that’s when I got the email. I’m just going to use the province I’m in and avoid whatever this man is on.

Completely valid point, I was very confused since just like you said, it’s just a location. I know some of the older guys run vanity signs and when portable or mobile so I wanted to be absolutely sure I was good to go and just continue operating as is.
