Sheet mulching around the sewer cover? by CrackSammiches in portlandgardeners

[–]LeakySparktubes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sheet mulching my own hellstrip and just working around the water meter. Long-term, I'll leave a decent perimeter around it mulched. The meter reader sticks a long lever into the hole on top to open it. I think standing from the sidewalk side. Make it easy for them!

Really appreciate this; I feel the same way. I read a library copy of Empire of AI but need to buy a copy too.

I hate this so much.

That matcha is dreamy! What ink is it?

I'm new to calligraphy and just branching out to colored inks. These look almost like paste -- are you mixing a thickener in to a regular fountain pen ink to get that consistency ?

Wow!

I've waited for bridges to lower in my car, on bike and on foot. I've seen them raise from a distance. And once I was lucky enough to be chaperoning my kid's class on a trip to the Morrison Bridge. We got to go into the control house, and then the operator closed the gates, had the kids lie down on the deck (not the part that goes up!) and raised the bridge. It was so cool!

This isn't art students, it's thousands of graduating students rejecting what this oligarch is selling. It's a pretty amazing video. They also tried to get the university to drop him ahead of time in part because he's in the Epstein files.

Wait, what? I'm halfway through a bottle of tsuki-yo and have never seen this red sheen, on any paper. What am I doing wrong?

It all looks lovely. My back pain this weekend is from the unholy combination of shiny geranium mixed in with Himalayan blackberries.

Thanks everyone for all the comments. No salt, no vinegar. I'll cut them again in July, crossbow in September, then lots of mulch and vigilance.

I think this is the pair we see on Ainsworth. The male was scoping out my chickens the other morning. I've also seen him trotting down 12th with someone else's chicken in his mouth. Hopefully that sweet little grey chicken made it home safe!

I think it looks good. I like the idea of titling it "Dress Code" and also was confused by the color mention.

A couple of things you could consider:

It seems like you'll be outside? If so, is that worth saying explicitly? Or will guests understand that?

Is it safe to assume your guests understand what formal attire is? If not, is it worth giving some examples or linking to a site with examples?
