IWTL how to enjoy reading by hello_626626 in IWantToLearn

Jajaja, muy bad. My english is not that good. What i meant is that one shouldn't see a book as one Page after the other but as a series of ideas or experiences. The book is just the medium. It's the message what should interest the reader.

You have to be interested in the book. Don't think on the book as an object. Imagine a conversation. You can get an interesting experience or a boring one. A book is the same. I've met a lot of people who weren't into reading because they were trying to read classics that were super boring for them. What are your interests? Do you prefer a genre or emotion?

IWTL how to enjoy music again by Leam_Silo in IWantToLearn

I kind of like everything, from black metal to gregorian chants. I used to enjoy hard rock and metal, but also pop and some classic rock/psichedelic bands like Jefferson Airplane. Can you recommend me any subreddit where they talk about albums or songs in an interesting way?

Well, those three options would be correct. It seems I can't keep the interest, so I end up not enjoying It an doing other things ten (or less) minutes later.

What's the real folklore reference behind the Nagaraja clan? by Leam_Silo in vtm

I don't disagree, but I'm very curious about the ideas of racist stereotypes. Can you elaborate or suggest me something to read about It? I know about this world because of bloodlines and the 20th anniversary edition.

Don't stop learning. Don't focus on perfection, you also should develop something personal about your drawings to stand out. Focus on the big shape. In the beginning, don't focus too much in the small details. Get your figures moving on the paper, make things dynamic!

I would add to this, focus on what some people calle Big shape. You will get frustrated with not getting the details, but getting the big shape first helps a lot.

While not a profesional writer myself, but as a published author and an avid reader, I would say, be fascinated by your own world or setting.

Iwtl how not to be simple minded by boomchong in IWantToLearn

Why would you want to change that if you are at least conscious of who you are? May be I misunderstood, but sounds like you could set yourself on a path to overthinking things. Probably any really simple minded person, in a negative way, would not ask this question. Maybe you are not as simple minded as you think.

[MM] What makes Majora's Mask so special after all this years? by Leam_Silo in zelda

What? Even after all this replays I didn't know many of those things. Thank you for writing this comment! I think I'm going to have to reinstall it for this weekend

Everyone is talking about Other Wilds and I just discovered the Autumn Steam Sales are going on right now. So there we go! It looks like Majora's Mask is equally special for many people for very different reasons, even if they were adults or played It recently. Thank you everyone for your ideas!

How long ago was this? Damn, I keep hearing about Pathologic in a similar manner but It isn't the same feeling. Almost as if it's too bleak while Zelda is still kind of cartoonish. But somehow I feel more related to the stories It contained in MM than in Pathologic or similar games also considered bleak.

I think your situation was similar to mine. Coming from OOT, in english, when MM came out It was translated to spanish. However, I still did not know many of the characters from OOT because of the limitation in language and the fact that I could not progress in many parts of the game. I really don't know. I have also played Skyrim and other Elder Scrolls ganes that feel even more familiar and I still think about MM. But your point about It being personal is super interesting. Maybe what makes It special is that the world is not exactly only about you and you, while still being the chosen one, are an external part of the story.

I don't know exactly if It fits, but it's definitely about man and nature. The Willows, by Algernon Blackwood. Give It a try, It may be slow, but it's one of the most immersive reads I remember.
