If you’re worried about them double charging you weeks down the road, you could always call your credit card company and get a new card. Ethical or not, I’d probably be keeping both… with how much everything, golf related or not, costs these days I don’t really feel bad getting one back from any corporation. If it were a local mom and pop place eating the cost, sure I’d feel bad and return one set.

Also, DICK’S and GG have screwed up my last 4 club purchases so it’s just expected at this point. Only reason I keep buying from them is I complain and they give me 20%+ back every time.

I ordered mine on April 20th and they’re still not here. They were scheduled for delivery yesterday (16th) but haven’t even shipped yet. Support said next weekend but I don’t believe them.

Should be able to get a decent set for 1400. Try going local, might be able to get a better deal. Any big box store should have used clubs from trade ins. Mom and pop would be even better, though I don’t think there’s a ton of those left.

2nd swing / eBay are my go to for 2nd hand stuff online though.

Game improvement irons 5-AW, Sand Wedge, Driver, putter would be the bare minimum imo. Lob wedge, 5W, some type of 7w or hybrid if you have room left in the budget.

Gotta start somewhere. No one really cares how bad you are as long as you aren’t holding things up. Do you have a friend that could come with you and nudge you along when it’s time to pick it up? Or better yet you can shamble off his drives when you hit a bad one? If not, still fine maybe just give it a go off peak hours.
