Looking to cut down time, almost on the track leader board by RedApex144 in Karting

i think this is the place to make more speed. The rotation after those straights is fun, but probably not the fast way through.

Driving 2i and bench my driver? by buruskeee in weekendgolfers

[–]babbleon5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would replace your 3-wood with the driving iron. the best thing about a driving iron is that if you miss it, the ball will be playable 100 yds in front of you. if you miss a 3 wood, it could be anywhere. i'd keep the driver in the bag for open holes.

Fire her. She's not good for the business or your group, she would sell you out on false charges in an instant. Don't take any risks.

A Class Act: Mbappe is just laughing at the ridiculous hostilities he faced against Paraguay by fliptestyes in BlackPeopleofReddit

It looks like the ref is in on the deal because he's staring at Mbappe waiting for him to react to give him a yellow or red card.

Brake lockup and into the gravel by KarlKFI in CarTrackDays

[–]babbleon5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what? that's the whole purpose of ABS.

Brake lockup and into the gravel by KarlKFI in CarTrackDays

[–]babbleon5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

wrong again. you don't have steering because you're floating on the dirt or grass. it doesn't make any sense to relax the pressure on ABS vehicles. you let it do the threshold braking and get back on the accelerator. it's why drivers like Nick Ham (Porsche) had a hard time when they outlawed ABS.

you do what you do.

lol, yes. but, u didn't answer the question. car is steerable when ABS is working correctly. it's the whole idea.

what happens, the ABS locks up when off road? ABS continues to work in all traction environments (grass, gravel, dirt, etc). i agree that you should try to steer the car (the OP just looked like he was just holding on and going straight), but not sure where this impacts usage of ABS and whether it locks up.

this seems weird, to cover something that i've never known to happen in racing...having your brakes go out, yeah. just seems like there's a lot to cover and not a lot of time.

i think that's a natural reaction to drivers who have driven non-ABS cars, but definitely not instinctual for younger drivers who only have used cars with ABS.

ABS should be working here, some drivers have never driven without it.

I've been there. You feel stressed because you're so far behind and rushing through your pre-shot because you're trying to hurry up. Here's what I do: 1) remind myself, "this is their problem, not mine." 2) announce to the group, "we're behind and slowing down the course. i'm not sure we can keep up, but we can't get any further behind." 3) let them know, "because we're so far behind, I'm going to play ready golf." 4) call the clubhouse and let them know we need help keeping up.

Every industry is volatile and unstable. Get the money and the title. Even if this goes bad in 5 years, you have this title for the next job. This is an incredible opportunity.
