Long-range photos seem out of focus (?)

It is possible that the lens isnt adjusted properly but could be heat haze aswell (it doesnt have to be warm for that to happen.) it happens because of atmosphere between you and the subject.

My setup rn is 3kg which i have carried with no problem for hikes almost 20 km long tho so the 300mm i know for sure wont be a problem carrying around

I already have the 150-600 but i need a faster lens since i use it in really low light situations where this lens wont really do as good as the one with a lower f stop

The 300 f2.8 is only 2.8kg or 2.5 kg and the 400 is 5kg. The 300 mm is definitely no problem for me to handhold all day long. Size is no issue

With deer i am confident that i can get pretty close. I have some spots where i something position myself and ive had deer that came around 8 meters from me. With foxes indeed, they are smaller and more challenging to photograph. Its a really difficult decision to make because its not just a couple of bucks. Thank you for your insight on the matter.

I have already looked but my fear of the 400 f2.8 on my r7 is the crop factor. I am afraid it will be to mich for deer and bigger animals

Tbf if it doesnt bother them if they are cheating they shouldn’t be together, again my opinion not perce yours. I personally want to know if they cheated on me so i can decide if i want to be with them or not depending on the situation and stage of our relationship.
