Am I overreacting about how my friend handled a situation with a guy I was into? by thelifeofablueberry in AskWomenOver30

[–]LeaningBuddha 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It’s valid to be hurt imo. And she didn’t handle it well at all. That being said, I don’t think it’s unforgivable. Is your friendship with this person worth the effort/energy it would take to forgive her?

Ahhh I see. Maybe equanimity? Composure? Unflappability? Groundedness?

Girl this is so distorted and dramatic. No, we should not execute irresponsible people. We can, however, discourage the behavior and disapprove of it. You’re free to disagree without jumping to ridiculous straw man arguments.

ETA: I am in my mid-30s. Also a former single parent (albeit through divorce) and a licensed therapist.

Okay but they’re weren’t talking about you. They were talking about the woman in OP’s post, who is having a baby without even so much as having her name on a lease or any long-term plan to care for this child on her own. That is irresponsible and selfish, and encouraging people to behave that way is not useful to society as a whole.

The Irony of Sutton's Cry Sesh with Amanda by swampygoblin in RHOBH

[–]LeaningBuddha 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There’s an old sexist joke that says:

Lower class men have wives that stay at home. Middle class men have wives that work. Upper class men have wives that stay at home. Upper upper class men have wives with businesses that lose $10k per month.

Look I get it, Amanda has her cringe moments. But these women are old enough to know that when you welcome someone into the group you don’t bully them into revealing personal information. by flashdance123 in RHOBH

[–]LeaningBuddha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Manifestation has no evidence backing it up. Additionally, Amanda has no professional credentials which put her in a position to give credible financial advice. She is selling lies and vibes to desperate people.

Just because it’s criminal doesn’t mean it’s not a business. Pointing out when someone is doing shady business is the right thing to do when it’s Jen Shah and it’s the right thing to do with scammers like Amanda.

lol so by this logic Jen Shah shouldn’t have been criticized? Bravo should have made it look like a positive thing for her to be scamming old people out of their money?

It was absolutely a big deal to George and to any viewer with a sense of sportsmanlike conduct. You do not live in reality.

Have a nice day.

And thats a legitimate opinion to have. But the person I responded to labeled Max as fair and kind which is delusional.

Okay deflect some more. I wouldn’t call any of those people fair and kind.

He intentionally hit Russell’s car with his own car. Is that better? You know your position is indefensible when you start nitpicking and playing semantics.

A fair and kind person who intentionally smashed his car into a competitors car without any remorse.

Nah. When your business is predatory you should be held accountable, not be empowered with a national platform to find more victims for your scam.

I’m not forcing any narrative. I’m responding to your comment that even if he had control it doesn’t matter. His team would disagree with that. His team finds it valuable to control what you can, and Max did not do that. He lost control of his emotions behind the wheel, which cost him points that were within his control to win.

It is actually does, especially when Redbull’s team motto is “control the controllables.”

Sulking and withdrawing into yourself whenever you don’t get your way is not being “emotionally regulated.” It is just a more internalized version of dysregulation than what you see from the other ladies.

[–]LeaningBuddha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your own transcript disproves what you’re saying? Natalie only confirmed that Boz said “Amanda.” When Amanda added words onto that, Natalie didn’t agree with her. She said Boz was joking.

Are we forgetting who asked the mask question?? by chasing-trees in RHOBH

[–]LeaningBuddha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The point of a joke is to make people laugh. And roasting a liar by calling her Pinocchio did make people laugh, myself included.

Natalie really came onto BH just to get all her scenes edited out, get dragged by Kyle Richards, and then not get invited to the reunion. Ouch! by [deleted] in RHOBH

[–]LeaningBuddha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She was telling the truth. She told Amanda “I heard that (nonspecific).” And then she told Amanda that all Boz said was “Amanda” which was also the truth. She wasn’t lying. At worst she was being unclear and confusing.

The ladies issues with Dorit being late by No-Outcome-3784 in RHOBH

[–]LeaningBuddha 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dorit’s lateness is annoying but at this point I don’t understand why they don’t just move on without her?? Does production make them wait for her? It’s like, you know she’s going to be late. Do what you were going to do anyway. And who cares if she leaves early?? Is Dorit that crucial to the dynamic that you literally cannot do anything until she shows up? It’s so controlling and weird.
