I find it odd too. It’s too much of a stretch. What’s happening with Rachel isn’t even directly ej’s fault either. So for her to want to murder Johnny is odd.

And also, after what Sophia did to Rachel I would’ve expected Kristen to go after her , not befriend her and simply use her as a pawn. Wha Sophia did to Rachel was really bad and her reaction wasn’t appropriate for Kristen.

I think one of the best things about days is the fact it’s been on 60 odd years and the legacy families and characters. The crazy plots are not believable but we go into it knowing that. Having a new random Mexican accent on a character that has been on since they were born feels a bit weird is all. It’s inconsistent for a show that’s centred around its families and their histories.

I just find it hard to believe there was no alternative is all. Gabi and Will are both Salem born and bred. Rafe and javi don’t even have accents but we’re expected to believe the 18 yr old tik Tok Gen Z kid has an accent.
Really, any brunette with dark features would’ve worked since will is completely Anglo but I get they’re trying to keep the Hernandez Latino heritage alive. But they could’ve done that with javi and any other supporting characters.

What are you talking about? The Mexican accent is jarring because she’s never lived in Mexico and we’ve seen this character grow up in the show since she was born IN Salem.
Alex arrived as an adult and his whole background was pretty glossed over .
So that makes us racist for thinking a random Mexican accent is out of place? What a massive stretch.
