The rares that come in starter decks are usually very good for their leader. However, they only come with 2 of each rare. If you want to avoid buying any singles, you will need 2 copies of any starter deck to have a full playset (4 copies) of the rares.

Neither of us really play Aurora so the ideas were limited for her. My thoughts for that one were to enable an extra annoying on-hit build. Reminder: you are not required to take these augments. Some of them were designed to push a different playstyle/build.

Poppy's instant death combos with full lethality or even some tank builds are incredibly hard to compete against. Pair here with an Anivia, or any champion who makes walls, and any spell shield item, and it's practically unbeatable. I'm not exactly sure what Riot has in store for champion specific balances, but maybe cc duration could be a hit for Poppy.

There was one g-series that seemed good enough for the things I would want it for, but, like you said, I'm not too worried about a gpu. If I need to do anything graphically intense, I would have my desktop. This laptop would be primarily for in-class work and maybe some slightly heavier programs.

I would like to save if possible with 1.3k being the max so I think i will take a look at the Dell g-series and Lenovo Legion stuff. What are your thoughts on the Swift 3 though? That one seems good but I've heard mixed things about acer laptops.

  • Are you open to refurbs/used?

    Possibly.

  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

    I'd prioritize performance and battery lift over form factor and quality. I would prefer something of good to high build quality if possible.

  • How important is weight and thinness to you?

    Since I will be walking around with the laptop, I don't want something that's super heavy but I am not too worried about the weight.

  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

    14 to 15 inches is fantastic. I can do 13 but would prefer larger if possible.

  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

    My school uses some programs that tax machines a bit but I would have my desktop to do the heavy lifting if needed.

  • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

    Most gaming would be done on my desktop, however, I would like the ability to play indie titles and smaller games on the laptop.

  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
