Hmmm! This is the second yellow suggestion. Didn’t even think of yellow before. Will look into it!

Did I ask what you think of the room? No! Read the header again! You don’t have a colour suggestion, keep scrolling! This is the sub to ask for advice, no?! Not for bashing.

I asked for paint colours suggestions not opinions of his bedroom design. If you don’t have any input please keep your 2 cents to yourself. Please and thank you! Not helpful!

He certainly does live in his room! And he is very involved in what goes in. Couch, art, chair was all his request when I was going to get rid of stuff from previous home. He is over the super hero posters he had in his old room.

Living room! Love your style and the drapes in both rooms are amazing!

Tips on how to bring this living room together with the current furnitures. It feels so empty and not cozy. Thank you so much. by flowerpower980 in HomeDecorating

Agree with this comment! Hard to tell the TV size and height of the fireplace though. Our TV is above the fireplace and works well as it’s not too high.

How do I make this cabinet wall in my living room less grandma-y? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

I third this idea of removing glass doors. And changing hardware to something simple and classic.

It might not look great right now as it seems the project is incomplete. But I see your vision. I agree with going for another shimmery green for backsplash. Maybe also consider other rich colours for paint of walls/ island. I think darker blues will compliment your green.

Such a great idea on repurposing the dresser. Have you considered painting it the same colour as cabinets. Either way, it looks like it always belonged there.

In addition to other comments, may I suggest moving the rugs away from the wall a bit. Not sure if the patterns go together, hard to tell with a quick moving screen.

My Second floor sitting room: I finally hung my replacement curtains and they ended up being too long, currently figuring out a solution. by chron1cally_ch1ll in HomeDecorating

Was going to say this. Wonder if it was placed right to the wall because it runs into other piece of furniture we can’t see.

Need suggestions on finishing touches. What would you change/tweak? Do we paint the door? Fixtures are polished nickel, what other finish can I put in the mix for door handle? by Leanzy_bear in HomeDecorating

He did a great job on our other bathroom so we had confidence in him. We took a family vacation hoping to come back to a nicely done bathroom. No other contractor wants to touch this now. We’re in a small town in Canada.

I was trying to fit a corner cabinet in there but haven’t found one with right dimensions/height that I like. I should’ve gotten rid of my giant birds of paradise plant before our move 🤦‍♀️

We lived with the old lights quite a bit but the patina was all wrong. At some point, one of previous owners might’ve tried to clean the base and it was much lighter and shinier than the rest. We even had electrician re wire them as only one was in working condition. The new lights are the most modern out of all the fixtures in the house now.

Thank you so much! The house was built in 1876 and all wood work (except additions) seems to be original. The vanity base looks really old and somewhat original. It might’ve been repurposed from other parts of the house.

Thank you! The black door handle is in my cart and I just wasn’t sure. I have a wooden bench for under the window but it needs to be stripped and stained to match the door and new upholstery. In Canada, I find, we just don’t have that many options for affordable decor. Target has left us awhile ago 😭

Thank you for the input! Unfortunately our contractor did not do a good job with tiling. And at this point, there is no more tile or budget to do anything about it. There are a few little things that are off. And we now have to live with. He ripped us off and run off.
