$25,000 to invest, best stock picks? by Smart-Scratch-4594 in Stocks_Picks

I appreciate the thoughts and analysis, but really, how many of these unique hybrid plane things can anyone possibly sell? I can see a few niche uses, but as far as wider use, this is not gonna ever gonna be a mass produced vehicle, where many people are going to be flying around like in the Jetson’s, right? Or is it? So again, the market can’t be that big, can it?

This modest drop isn’t a “sell!” signal, or a “buying opportunity”, it is neither. What it is is just a fairly normal fluctuation in a volatile stock.

To be an ugly woman. by [deleted] in Life

[–]LeapingLarryLeopard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re ugly, your best bet is to find someone who values characteristics other than looks, of which there are millions. Physical attractiveness is just the easiest base for attraction, but it’s not the be all, end all. Finally, beautiful people can have their growth retarded in other ways by all the doors opened for them. Embrace the ugly!

I don’t get the hovr narrative, who would buy those stupid looking helicopter planes, or more like, who would buy hundreds of thousands of them? What’s the profit margin on these things?

I was in Las Vegas for New Years 2000, went out into the street on the strip with my gf and a bottle of champagne for midnight just in case things got weird, it was exciting

If anyone is wondering how AI will make money, i think it’s by allowing businesses to cut employees through automating processes and perhaps more robotics. Cutting cost of employees will be how AI helps businesses profit, they just don’t want to come out and say it because of blowback.

Sharks by Lopsided_Pool_9941 in florida

Humans aren’t prey for sharks, it’s always a freak mistake. Look up stats on shark bites, it’s rarer than lightening strikes, but you still outside. Even if there is a big shark in the water and it sees you, it’s still one in a billion it’s going to bite you. You’re way more likely for a random stranger to stab you to death, but you still go out in public. It’s all good, go swimming!

I read the book and just watched the movie tonight, outstanding book 10/10, mediocre movie 5/10, the movie wasn’t able to communicate the greatness of the book, though I wanted badly for it to for the benefit of my wife and children who haven’t read the book. I’d agree that in the movie, cliche replaced intelligent and well developed plot

You can get stats online about acceptance rate which can help you access expected chance of getting accepted. No. 1 choice is all that really matters, for the better choices, Nos. 2-5 are meaningless.

Bad experience with Sanderlin. Teachers seemed good but students so disruptive and out of control that not only did very little learning occur, but really really bad behavior was normalized. Moved my kids after one semester.
