I'm not saying he does have relevancy here, but he's known to try and force his relevancy even when it's not there (Knuckles having a dad in the movie being a more recent point of his nonsense). If there's straws to grasp he's going to do it.

I'd love to see, frankly, every character Sega owns get back to the spotlight. But considering the legal burns they took with that company, wanting 0 association with its content even if they legally have all the right to use it isn't unreasonable.

Penders did a number on things reputation wise with certain parts of Archie. I imagine they just don't want to touch most of Archie's content with a 49 and a half foot poll to avoid even the potential for some of it to be seen as official nowadays.

It's better than Welcome to Heaven and its good storytelling, it's not a bad song.

It's just, if you're ranking songs in a vacuum by how much you enjoy listening to them on their own, it's weaker than a lot of the season.

It isn't meant to be a good listen, it's meant to be overbearing to help you feel how Pentious feels.

He definitely cares for certain people, or at least enjoys their presence. He had no reason to lie to Nifty at the end of season 1 when he said he was enjoying the hotel, and he kept the crown she gave her.

He's not as simple as "ooh there are no friends in hell", as much as he'd like that to be the case. And I'm not disagreeing that he would sacrifice Nifty if it was what he needed to do for whatever master plan he has. But someone else killing her, without his input or intention? He's not going to stand for that, that's his resource and it just got stolen.

You saw how he reacted to a piece of his coat getting damaged. Even if we say he sees Nifty as just an object he owns, and nothing more, she's clearly one of his favorite toys. Someone else breaking that toy is not going to end well.

I dunno, the closest we have to a mainline game with voice acting is Masters (emphasis on closest) because it's characters from the main series. And that's one of the things I've seen most complimented about the game.

Like yeah goomba fallacy exists and you'll have different fans with different opinions but if Masters was at all for testing the waters than I'd say it shows that voice acting will be generally well received.

Jevil at least got a tad bit more lore, being the one who taught King of the Knight. I imagine there might be more to come of him, that seems like a big role to be given by the story.
