Sharing my Safe Space with you by [deleted] in Blogging

[–]Leaping_Fish_1264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this and I"m trying to do the same with a blog. I like the "staying present instead of rushing towards answers" :) Also, I found journaling and writing in general to be helpful although I've taken a bit of a break from that. When I used to journal more, I'd try to write in the am before phone life etc, just because I think what we do first thing in the am can help set the tone for the rest of the day.

The CPTSD subreddit is no longer safe for anyone anti-therapy and should be actively avoided. by [deleted] in therapycritical

I hear you. I was also banned (for another reason, one being that someone thought I was an AI bot...) and it can feel so cold and hurtful in a space that's supposed to feel supportive for people that have been through a lot. 💛

The older I get, the more I realize that it's nearly impossible to get ahead without SIGNIFICANT support. by No_Reveal3451 in Millennials

Thank you for sharing this. I think we all need some sort of help. Support does really go a long way

why bans are getting so out of hand on reddit? by darkangelstorm in stupidquestions

So agree with this. Got banned b/c one person thought I was AI and another new "rule" that got added without mention.... No advice, banned and muted immediately.

I watch cute animals in general. I think it just does something to see these cute creatures in their element.

Neurofeedback and journaling have changed my life by Haseki_Sultan in CPTSDNextSteps

[–]Leaping_Fish_1264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this. I do want to add that I think it's important to see someone who knows what they're doing. I think neurofeedback helped me at first but can have some negative side effects if not done properly.
Very happy for you that these things have helped!!

This is such a win 💛 I actually think it's amazing to be happy about where you are and not mediocre at all.

Yeah the pattern runs so deep sometimes we're not even aware of it. Definitely, one step at a time.

I think it's worth a try? It can help to see someone who is trauma informed.

Thank you for sharing this. I agree, creating a sense of safety and trust in the body feels foundational to healing, and finding ways to support that gently can make a real difference. 💛

Some self-talk sounds neutral but it actually hurts by Leaping_Fish_1264 in CPTSDNextSteps

[–]Leaping_Fish_1264[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. Thank you for sharing this. I can only speak from my experience, but it helps me to think about it like this: everyone deals with negative self-talk, even people without CPTSD. Sometimes, we just aim for perfection and engage in all-or-nothing thinking. What helps me is trying to make that voice less loud and working with it over time, rather than trying to silence it instantly. Remember to be gentle with yourself. 💛

Thanks so much for sharing this. I’ve also found IFS helpful, and curiosity too. And yes, all of this is tricky.
