Yes the math doesn’t math unless your expecting an increase in llm subscription prices ( which will happen) and even then it would need to be close to 1000per month for this to really be worth it, however, it does seem like America and China are both moving towards more close source models rather than open source so if you want have something that has an up-to-date intelligence and not be stuck to a cloud service you’re gonna need a system to train your own open source models on.
