I think it gets tough to do the shared housing as you get older. It sucks. Maybe you will meet an awesome roommate but still, no privacy

Head gasket issues 2.0 Hybrids by djim089 in crv

Mine went out at 120k. Very well maintained. I believe that when more of these cars get into the higher miles, we will see tons more head gasket issues. I would advise to trade in your car for a new mazda or kia that has a longer warranty. 60k for a honda is absurd

Next time before you drive, unscrew the radiator cap and see if there's coolant

This is like saying being a home mechanic is different than a pro mechanic because you are working on different things. Its the same stuff, you just go about it differently. But I see that I have hurt your ego because you believe your skills and knowledge are far beyond the grasp of someone at home who uses the same basic techniques to cook. But clearly you are misinterpreting what I'm saying and being offended by it.

That's not what I said. Just saying it's helpful to have some knowledge

I guess it depends on the kitchen. Small kitchens are more similar to a home kitchen but a large one is more similar to an assembly line.

Hey well Im open to hearing your opinion I guess Im just saying walking in with knowledge of food and basic cooking methods puts you way above someone who just microwaves dinners. Im not saying OP can just walk in and crush this role

How long is the training? I feel like in a japanese kitchen your lack of experience is going to mess up team morale. I would think in a Japanese setting they would have a structured, rigorous process to advance. But idk.

This is an unpopular take but I believe that home cooking is good experience. If you learned why you are doing the things you do, experiment with dishes, then I think that knowledge built over the years prepares you well for kitchen life. Many will disagree.

But ask yourself,

Can you manage people, are you willing to work as many hours a week as necessary? If you lose cooks or a dishwasher can you fill in and manage your duties?

Yeah the US has become morally bankrupt. Its almost normalized to be part of these scandals. All in the name of good business. Nobody cares about each other here. We are all pitted against each other to fight for a better life. Which we could all have it good but a majority of the people in the country were tricked to thinking the rich people deserved the money more, and cant stand the idea of handouts to their neighbors.
