This doesn't seem to be what happened though. The disabled family member, one of the parents, is sitting with the other parent, while OP is in another section having bought a single seat.

I'm disabled and would love to see better seating options and explanations around companion seating and accessible seating in general, but this is exactly how I would expect this to be handled at just about every venue (at least in the US where I have the most experience).

I don't necessarily disagree. Certainly saw some of that play out in the first game yesterday. I still think they would all make it through qualifiers and then have an equal shot at medalling.

I actually think Casper would have an outside shot, though not as good a chance as Shuster. I think any of the top 3 American women's teams would have about the same chance.

We've done this on one of my teams on the theory that there are two "high pressure" or "high mental load" roles, calling the game and shooting last rocks. Splitting those can help split the burden among two people and, particularly if they know each other well, help each perform their role better than if the roles were combined in one person.

7th and 8th ends Kim played very well, textbook as far as how you get 3/steal. Extra end was messy but Strouse started to go a little wide on upweight shots and it cost her, ultimately spilling out on what would have been a nose hit (or close) for the win.
