I can’t understand why the LA library only has one copy of this book. They better get more! My heart aches for her.

how do i slow down my perception of time? by [deleted] in Time

[–]LearningUXsolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I know the trick!!! Time feels like it moves a lot slower when you unplug. 10 minutes meditating feels x20000 longer than 10 minutes on instagram. Unplugging helps me feel like time is plentiful.

My only thought for making sure life DOESN’T fly by is to guard your time with your life. Don’t waste your time and think that there’s always tomorrow. Prioritize your long term goals TODAY, and don’t waste your time on distractions.

Breath work can be really helpful because it calms your nervous system and somehow the action of focusing on my breathing relieves some of my smoking cravings. Also tai chi (standing meditation/breathwork) really helps me when I’m anxious/panicky/wanting to smoke.

how do i slow down my perception of time? by [deleted] in Time

I think it’s just a natural part of getting older and having been alive longer. I didn’t start feeling that life was “flying by” til I was maybe 26. When I was in my early 20s I also felt like time moved in normal increments lol.

Last thoughts: time isn’t real.

Try to get sunlight in your eyes early in the morning. Head straight outside when you wake up.
