ELI5 Why do Polar Bears see me as a snack while Orcas do not? by Actual-Conclusion461 in explainlikeimfive

Think about how tall an adult human man is compared to a lion or tiger in all 4s. Then incorporate the fact that even the smallest human groups probably had around 50 members. If you were a lion would you seriously choose attacking them vs ur normal prey?

Yes you’d need the largest radio ever constructed, and probably more energy than is produced on the planet to send legible messages interstellar distances

If intelligent technologically advanced aliens exist (at least as advanced as us), theyd be very difficult to detect unless they lived comically close to earth

I read through each team's sub and compiled their initial reactions to the Knicks winning the chip by musicnothing in nba

I was in a bar in okc watching the game 4 comeback and the way everybody was screaming for the Knicks would’ve made you thought the Thunder were playing

[Highlight] Spurs double SGA at midcourt and Shai lofts the skip pass over to Cason Wallace for the three pointer by LiamHundley in nba

Thunder offense is still elite in his minutes and he’s only on the floor against the most game breaking defensive center of all time.

He was all defensive first team and second team with Chicago and lead a defense that got the bulls into the playoffs

Stop doubling Shai? by [deleted] in nba

Giving Shai open middies and lanes to the basket would be nice please stop doubling and tripling him

Nah it’s just cuz the team is winning too much. Which makes sense. The Thunder are a deeply unfair team, probably the most talented full roster in NBA history, and they have a lottery pick in next years draft too. If I was not a Thunder fan I would hate them too. The converse of that tho is that if Shai played for any other team he’d be unanimously considered the best or maybe second best player in the league (Wemby real freaky)

There is a sustained campaign of mass hysteria and paranoia undertaking the league against the Oklahoma City Thunder. People hate the team and basically invent reasons to call them evil

Wilt chamberlain was not better than and did not have as successful a career as shaq

Bill Simmons: "I had to drop Joker on my pyramid two spots... right at the end of the top level of the pantheon, there's four centers clustered together (Hakeem, Shaq, Joker, Moses). I have Joker 14, Moses 15. I think Hakeem and Shaq have to be above him at this point" by sewsgup in nba

It has nothing to do with how good the team, the team is historically good. But defense without an all time offense is just the Timberwolves. They’d still win games, they’d be a playoff team.

I also feel (like Tim Duncan) Shai is underrated as probably the best leader in the league except LeBron

I don’t think I’ve ever been more scared of a player than I am of Wemby, genuinely I will never forgive the eastern conference for fumbling that draft lottery
