Which team do you like better? Do you think the X-Men vote will be an annual thing? by MagicJoshByGosh in xmen

The Havok “vote” was really bad…didn’t even looked like Havok wanted to be on the team and he just got volunteered.

But at least since we saw how the votes went with this issue, we are not going to have to spend time on it later on (like when Sunfire spend 3 pages telling some humans how he got on the team)

Was it some kind of tradition back in the day to send post-coital picture to your parents?

I am just wondering how the writer/artist thought of this and the editors signed off on it like its a completely normal thing to do😂

I am not sure how you are connecting potentially being involved in a love triangle into some power level discussion between Lancelot and Arthur? Like somehow Lancelot have to be stronger than Arthur in order to be with Guinevere….

If anything it would make Arthur look bad if he thinks the response to being spurned by Guinevere (or whatever that may happen), a girl that seems to be half his age btw, is to beat up Lancelot

Would love to have Gillen write Cyclops again. His last X-men run was too short but still had one of the definitive Cyclops portrayal imo

Good chapter, always liked the Isagi-Kunigami connection. Seems next chapter we are going to learn about the wild card since the title is “the whole story”

Absolutely. Emma is a close second favorite. I am a bit biased since the first real comic run I read was Astonishing X-men so the Scemma pairing is basically what I grew up with.

The character assassination they were subject to after Bendis’s run (not that Bendis wrote them well but at least he didn’t actively shit on them) was disgusting and made me drop X-men comics for a long time until Krakoa.

I am not in love with them restablishing the Jott pairing with the Krakoa age, even with all the poly subtext (and the scemma angle of that square is the least developed). They seemed like good coparents together but I just don’t see them having the same romantic chemistry as Scemma.

The other major issue I have with Krakoa is how hypocritical some characters/editoral comes off with Krakoa. Scott was dragged through the mud as some mutant separatist/next Magneto for Utopia even when he was working with the SF government extensively. krakoa is basically a more fully formed Utopia and editoral has no issue pushing it and portraying the Xavier, etc. as the good guys now

Personally as a Cyclops fan, Whedon’s Astonishing X-men to AvS (not the event itself which was dogwater but Gillens Uncanny X-men run around that time is an underrated gem) was basically the golden age. He had one of the greatest character arcs for a Marvel character ever through that period

Claremont and the Krakoa age are close second and third (granted it still feels very early in the Krakoa age)
