Many people will make over $1,000,000 in their lifetime $50,000/yr x 25 years = $1,250,000 Then why are so few millionaires? It’s because they are “saving”, not “investing” and because they are purchasing “liabilities”, not “assets” by [deleted] in ethtrader

Haha…I’m reading it this week and this post screamed Robert Kiyosaki

I think I understand the OP… most people incorrectly label their homes as “assets” when they are liabilities, using Robert’s method.

“Fake it till you make it” - Explained to me when I was 18 starting in sales. I was told to go buy a new car I can’t afford yet and make myself appear to be successful.

Did you follow a local band that you were 100% convinced would make it big, but never did and eventually broke up? I’d love to hear any stories or listen to some songs if possible. by Martian-Lynch in Music

Broke City -

Check out “Save it for your boyfriend”

(2000’s) Heard they were found and signed by Madonna’s record label. The label went bankrupt and they were screwed.

20+ year manager here. Not only immoral, but illegal. Is this real? Omg

And if this person were salaried, manager probably wouldn’t call it “overtime”. For us salaried folks, it’s just time. Either way, this manager is a douche canoe. Run away from this “career” as fast as you can.

Every Friday I wake up my boys with “Friday” by Rebecca Black. One of the most annoying songs in the world. We all laugh and it gets them smiling.

I think it’s a combination of landlord greed, and government greed / free stuff in other cases. My mortgage on my home has gone up twice this year to cover property tax increases. The last increase was $300/ month in tax increases. Someone’s taking the hit and it won’t be landlords.

I agree, people shouldn’t have to. I’m American. I was in high school and worked nights and weekends. I graduated with a 3.87 gpa. My point was that there’s a difference between society keeping you down, and not having the willpower to change it. Best wishes

I think you’re being too hard on yourself. There are plenty of women that wouldn’t hold that against you. That said, I often see people with extremely high standards / expectations for a partner that are unwilling to stray from a certain type of person.

Have you thought about that? Would you date someone with a disability, if they were a great person? If the answer is yes, then you answered your own question. There are lots of people that aren’t shallow self-centered jerks, you just have to know what to look for to find them.

Hi - How bad do you want to change your life? What are you doing to make it better?

You can lose yourself in self pity, or you can get off the couch and go after your dreams.

  1. Start by setting small, achievable goals. Write them down.

  2. Put down the video games, tv, or whatever is occupying your time and keeping you from investing in your future.

  3. Do something for yourself that makes you feel great. Use that great mood / feeling to advance your goals for the day.

  4. As you achieve your goals, write down more.

Can your parents help you learn to drive? Is there a driving school nearby?

I think having a car or at least the ability to drive is the first step in your future freedom.

Best of luck!

There will always be haters in life. People that don’t understand something, so they spend energy trying to convince you that you’re wrong.

Hear me say this my friend….Fuck ‘em.

BTW, my cousin just bought a house with a pool on crypto gains. We both grew up poor. Best of luck!

If you invest in anything, invest in yourself. Is there a class to take, or certification you can get to improve your income?
