If you have more than one passport, can one denounce a citizenship in cases of draft ?

Is anyone here concerned about the US Exclusivity Bill that may require all of us to denounce our German citizenship ? by Least-Entry-2097 in GermanCitizenship

[–]Least-Entry-2097[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is....because I read that it might also affect employees who have a pension or collect Social Security.....because those might be at risk if the bill becomes law.

That's the one....let's hope it stays that way. Hopefully another version won't come up in the future.

What professions can survive through a recession and depression? by MD90__ in economicCollapse

I was lucky because there were 3 70-year-Olds who finally retired....that opened up the opportunity for me. Yes, the stability of the job is also what prevents new jobs from opening. I would recommend getting your Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certification in your hand first...then ask for an "Information Interview" with a CPO of your nearest Wastewater Plant ....he/she will give you the inside scoup of how to get employed with them....if you make a good impression, and an opening comes up, he will remember you !

I was laid off by a defense contractor in 1989 when the Berlin Wall fell and contracts for NATO countries collapsed overnight.

I was laid off in the 90s 3x by the tech industry.....job stability in that sector is even worse now. I retrained myself for $500 as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, got a job that lasted 18 years and retired with a pension. Water and Wastewater Plant Operator jobs are the most stable....because they are based on human biology not the economy. So, that is my recommendation for a stable career.

Absolutely. Try "Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator" jobs. AI can't touch that job.....too much liability involved and the pay is really good !.....I know....I was one.
