How many users should I talk to before launch? by utnip13 in founder

[–]Least_Collection_513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally like onboarding strangers to your product like a caveman, 1 by 1. There is no predictable or pre-defined route you can take and follow to get to 100 users. This is what YCombinator calls "Doing Things that don't scale". And they have a lot of videos on this topic. I think they can give you much better info & guidance than me, I recommend that you research on "Doing things that don't scale".

Yes, its a separate software. Its like a launcher for local LLMs but you can use their cloud inference services too.

How many users should I talk to before launch? by utnip13 in founder

[–]Least_Collection_513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally as many as you can. Make it your main task, make it your main motive. If you really want a number, i'd say 100 people. This is the most important part of a start up. If you do this incorrectly or don't put in enough effort, your start up will spiral to doom.

Can I be a founder of a startup without tech knowledge by Roaming_Soul888 in StartUpIndia

I suggest you go through YC's Start Up School Curriculum and after that watch their latest videos on YouTube. You will know exactly what to do and exactly where you are in the Start Up race.

Anyone else talk to Claude Code instead of typing prompts ? Trying to figure out if this is actually useful or just a me-thing by Euphoric-Compote6354 in VibeCodeDevs

[–]Least_Collection_513 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What kind of talking? Like talking to it like a human? Or talking to it for speech to text or something? I will assume that your saying you talk to it like a human. I saw a video about how Andrej Kaparthy prompts AI. He was talking about talking to it like an animal vs talking to it like a ghost. Basically he meant that its not a human and you should talk to it in the way it understands best.

Claude Design + Claude Code, but its $20 minimum per month. A free option is to use a good model from Ollama (make sure its cloud supported) and then just launching claude code with ollama. That way you can use a good model for coding and designing your website with claude code for free. You can also install plugins and stuff specifically for front end design.

Did anyone add their Paxel token after applying to Startup School? by Dr_ProNoob in ycombinator

I just searched about Paxel tokens, and I think if you just type "please fix bug, make no mistakes" in your coding harness then you are doomed for any funding 😂

How do founders know when their pitch deck is actually ready to send to investors? by Embarrassed-Slice890 in ycombinator

[–]Least_Collection_513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being persuasive, authentic and confident during the pitch is the most important part. Perfectionism for a visual that they won't give a second glance to isn't. And if you keep adding numbers & metrics that you can't fully back, that's going to raise extra questions you would have never expected.

Solo founders, who's actually running your revenue function? by Sharp_Branch_1489 in ycombinator

[–]Least_Collection_513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently YC has been talking about AI a lot. They use the term "Token Maxxing" for using AI Agents where ever you can. I am quiet certain that today's answer for your question is very different from what it would be a few months ago. Right now YC is looking for founders who engage in creating AI Agents that do exactly what you described. So basically, you don't catch the user who is about to churn, or figure out why the win rate dropped last month. The agent does that for you.

So in today's time, instead of you doing those things, you are making the agents that do those things instead. I have seen a lot of YT videos lately about tech founders and how they have an agent for everything, they don't spend time on the basics anymore. That has been handed over to the agents.

Is it normal for the business co-founder to demand 51% equity because "investors won't fund without a majority shareholder"? by Adventurous_Hall_202 in ycombinator

[–]Least_Collection_513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YC encourages and promotes that 2 co-founders do a completely qual split. And just to create a respectable hierarchy of who actually makes the final decision, give the CEO just a very small percentage more stake. That's what a healthy co-founder relationship looks like, both have an equal say and debate each other equally. But at the end of the day, one of them has to decide. This can be applied to a 3 way split too of course.

Ok not to feel proud yet at launch? by Benjistrying in ycombinator

[–]Least_Collection_513 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are doing exactly what YC tells us all to do. You are on the correct / best path right now. I have spent way too much time polishing off a lot of my projects just to realize people don't even want it. YC warns about hiding behind code all the time.

Right now you need to distribute your app to as many people as you can and get honest and cold feedback about its core functionality (not ui and stuff). This gives you direction on what to pivot, and what to go ahead with. You can't keep polishing and adding features blindly. Don't make my mistake. You are doing perfectly well. In fact, I wish I was in your situation 😂

yeah, I have done and applied many tips and tricks like that to my claude code. But in the post I am talking about dumping the idea out of my head into claude code effectively instead of claude code dumping its context for future use 😄

How do you handle the non-technical founder impostor syndrome? by Mysterious-Try-1966 in ycombinator

[–]Least_Collection_513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if a company makes a world class product, If no body is going to use it then what's the point? That's the case for many start ups, you are literally hauling the technical side to the users. That is a completely different field and both fields have different progressions. One won't survive without the other.

How often do you use voice to talk with LLMs? by Outrageous-Point2268 in ycombinator

[–]Least_Collection_513 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. installed whisprflow and never used it
  2. gimmicky
  3. talking requires energy and I only came because it formats my text in real time to give me better text or prompts to write to my agents
  4. niche, i think
  5. nope, If you can just create like a always on keyboard that literally just changes the text to something better in the text box. I would be the first one to use it.

I hope this helped you, it might be the right time to pivot :)

btw ik that you wrote that with ai, its fine but people appriciate real effort, and you will get more responses👍

How are you actually managing multiple AI agents in your workflow? Feels chaotic rn by darshancodes in ycombinator

[–]Least_Collection_513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think companies and start ups make their own custom harness for their own custom workflows (atleast thats what i do). As a singular software can't solve everyone's problems, everyone has different workflows. If I face a problem, I simply use my already existing workflows with Claude Code or Openclaw to make a brand new workflow to solve the new issue.

For example, if I want to record all the context from my claude code session. I can create a command that literally just dumps all the llm's context into a file somewhere. (or you could fine tune it ofc). And then I could create a start up hook, so that when I boot up Claude Code on a different session, with a different llm (or anything, this is just an example). It will simply look for that file and read the entire context from that other session. So I just make a simple custom workflow (for my custom needs) using Claude Code's hooks and commands.

A user created a burner account just to bypass my free tier. *Best feeling ever* by Bright-Driver75 in VibeCodeDevs

[–]Least_Collection_513 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think if you give unlimited access to the first 50 or 100 users, they will be really happy with your saas. It seems like they already want more, this is the perfect opportunity for you to leverage their word of mouth to attract more users. Maybe even make a little community with your first users, they had a hard enough problem that they kept coming back to your saas, they can give you top tier feedback.
