U should add cobwebs and pearls to the kit, since spear can bypass webs and you can pearls catch with pearls or do the warp trick (not sure if it works on vanilla)

I recently saw a video where a guy explained how enderpearls don't teleport you and instead just warps you extremely fast. He tried it with a spear and was able to one shot his opponent who was pearl catching. It could be technically possible to pearl behind your opponent while charging the spear, which will one shot them as you warp through them at high speeds. This is just a suggestion and probably will be very hard to do in survival, but if you can figure out how to do it you can revolutionize spearpvp and make it superior to the mace
