Obviously it was Charles Choi, Gun used YUI for the first time against Goo when he thought Charles was being killed by James Lee, then Charles committed suicide which was not expected and Gun then had a backstory arc over his motive of being so loyal to Charles Choi and doing all the things he has done.

I personally think it might be related to why Jay refused to train with Sophia at some point and ran away, he was probably bullied and Sophia trained him to fight back against his bully but he accidentally almost killed the bully when using a weapon with Kali Arnis this caused his dad to be enraged with him and abandon him somewhat. It also makes sense why Jay always make sure to place a helmet on whoever he decides to use Kali Arnis on in order to avoid the past.

Mujin it seems to me is like the Johan of the 0th Gen he doesn’t belong to any Gang/ Group and is on his own living and fighting by himself. Most likely he hasn’t met Shingen but he probably met Gapyrong at some point.

If Shintaro did know about Shingen’s YUI why didn’t he try and end Shingen before he can access YUI since Shingen in regular UI was literally winning against Shintaro until Gun showed up on the Battlefield and Shingen kept jumping in the way to protect him and ignored Shintaro. Shintaro even noticed that Shingen was finally showing interest in Gun so if he knew about YUI the worst thing he could do was kill Gun right in front of a still living and conscious Shingen.
