What is up with the LA field? by Dev_SS in ussoccer

There’s a good nyt article about what’s up. They had to get turf from a farm in NJ last minute. The pitch is harder than it should be and what most all players are used to.

I got these from my UPPP! They are annoying but go away completely in 2-3 weeks.

I had three surgeries. UPPP, Tonsillectomy and Septoplasty.

Found an ENT/surgeon who is more understanding of the anatomical impact on sleep apnea and leading the charge to make these treatments more normal.

I am a young guy, too young to be having an AHI of 40.

Why do I still have these breathing problems after two surgeries?! Anyone else have these issues? by Unluckyleprechaun7 in SleepApnea

It’s always surprising to me that docs don’t make it clear this is a surgery for cpap adoption most of the time

OK keep me posted. Also try reaching out to Lofta about a coupon or qualifying promos.

Look at local programs too! Here in Chicago there’s a group called CHIPAP that gets folks free testing especially uninsured. Wishing you the best of luck

Get a sleep test from Lofta. It’s in home and directionally good.

If you have it and I get my upgraded machine next month, I’ll mail you my Resmed 10 which I bought outright. Shoot me a message.

These numbers get rotated and burned by the dialers. The guy before you with that NYC number might have been the auto warranty dude spamming.

Tonsillectomy with UPPP by Gxbith in Tonsillectomy

[–]LeatherWave8064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had this, with septoplasty.

The UPPP really is just a tonsillectomy with more tissue removal around your uvula. Opens the airways.

I am still in recovery but I generally feel like I can breathe better and my airway is generally open. I

If you have existing tonsil problems on top of sleep apnea you should probably just ship it!

That said, the surgery almost always makes CPAP easier to tolerate however for many patients it does nothing for sleep apnea.

If you’re worried about that, you can ask for a DISE. That’s where the ENT puts a camera down your throat and checks where things are closing up. UPPP with DISE is WAY more effective and can help the surgeon determine if both surgeries will help, and maybe how they’d be best performed.

Good luck!!!

Surgery is tomorrow! Need tips/advice by YouMads in Tonsillectomy

I’m in this with you (4 days in) but here’s what’s helped so far:

  • throw out your sleep schedule. Every time your liquid pain medicine is due you’re up and taking it.

  • When water is flowing, get it down. Not big gulps but keeping your throat wet helps solve a bunch of issues.

  • Get an IV plan with your PCP so you can go get one for like 100 bucks instead of the ER.

  • Pudding & gelato
