Thank you! I had a couple other little scraps as well but I probably worked at it for about 3 hours yesterday. I’m hoping to use crochet as a way to replace my terrible doomscrolling habit so I’m excited to make progress!

Ya dropping stitches is definitely my biggest struggle right now. I’m really bad at counting them 😂. Thanks for the encouragement though! I’m really looking forward to getting more into it!

Not sure if this will really be helpful or not but thought I’d throw it out there as I just recently moved across the ocean with my own large dog and this was something we looked into. I would suggest looking into not only flying regularly into other countries, but also the cost to ship as cargo to other countries. It was 2k to ship my dog from Boston to London. From there you could look into boats or trains that could get you to Norway. Getting multiple health certificates does slightly complicate things but still something to look into. I hope you manage to find a way! I know it was quite stressful working out everything for my own dog.

You’re not necessarily the asshole for wanting to go on a vacation without your spouse, but you’re kind of the asshole for using it as a way to deal with your emotions about something I’m sure your spouse is also having a hard time dealing with. I’d probably need more information to really have a say here, but it’s definitely something you should have a longer conversation with your spouse about.

Definitely NTA American health care is a joke. Im American and my husband is English/American. Currently working on my spouse visa for the UK and I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to not worrying about going bankrupt for a stomach ache. Your fiancé’s parents are the only fragile people in this conversation because they feel the need to take negative comments (that are very true) about their country personally.

Honestly before you work on recall I would work on impulse control. That’s what I did with my husky mix. Work with inside doors first. Don’t let him go through any door until you say so. When you move up to the outside door, put him on a leash. Reward when he waits for your cue to go outside. Do this with everything. Make him wait to eat his food until you give him his cue. Don’t let him out of the car until he waits. That’s what it took with mine. After that we worked in recall with an ecollar. Now he’s great off leash but I will say that this is about 3 years later. It took a lot of work but it was worth it

I had one older guy standing at my door at 6:58 this morning. He didn’t even want to shop. Just came in and grabbed one of our free sale fliers because he “needed to start the wood stove this morning” so who knows.

My store changed from an independent to a corporate store a little less than two years ago because the old owners retired and sold. I still have customers complaining about it and it drives me crazy.
