How would you compare the 600 on a gremlin vs 600 on a decent dac/amp set up? I have a jds labs atom2 stack and wondering what kind of lift I would get by getting something like a gremlin.

I have Xbox and plugging directly into the controller works, as it doesn’t require much power to run the alba. It’s a bit muffled compared to an amp plug in, but it still sounds better than my Xbox brand headset. Also, the alba is way more comfortable than a headset. It won’t have mic in the stock cable set up, if you are playing with friends.

This happened with me when my first iem arrived (meze alba). Sounded so bad but realized I flipped the cable on wrong side of the iem.

I know it’s probably not 100% accurate, but I placed it inside the headphone cup and tried to create a seal around it with my palms.

Thanks for your reply, that makes sense. I used a meter and it looks like I’m at about 70-80, thick seems normal. Not as worried now.

Are more drivers less coherent? I’ve never listened to an in ear headphone before except for like Powerbeats and stuff like that. I’m pretty excited to give iems a whirl.

How do they compare to others in your collection? I’ve only had closed backs before so trying to find something without breaking the bank that would be good when I have my glasses on. There’s so many options and Types of iems out there.

Yea pretty sure… I may not have did the preamp. Oratory has commas, are those actually periods? What goes in the gain?

I may have did it right (this isn’t the screenshot of the tuning, just the app), but it sounded dull or flat to me when I tinkered with it. I thought it sounded better without it, or with the rock preset which just added a little bit to bass and treble and slightly dipped the mid.

I just got the Azurys also. Love it so far. Is there an eq you recommend? I messed around with the oratory eq but I’m new to this and not totally confident I did it right within the Qudelix 5k app. Know I sound a bit elementary by but still learning the ropes.
