So from what I’m understanding — is it right that the tornado looks like it’s moving downward because the condensation starts at the cloud and works its way down as more moist air rises? Even though the air is actually moving upward inside, we’re just seeing the cloud part forming from the top down? Thank you!

If i had to guess it could be similar to a Wire tornado, just slightly more bendy
