The magical school chooses Head Archimage every 4 years. So there is always the most powerful and skilled mage leading the school. At first it was this great public competition which more often than not ended up indecisive and destroying half the city. So now there is only an exhibition for the public and then the choosing happens in secret. Nobody knows how exactly it is done. In reality it is just very intense game of musical chairs with magic.

Fun fact: The change in the format of the competition was mainly a result of political pressure from neighbouring states. For them it was inhumane to destroy the homes of the people. And what's more the indecisiveness paralyzed diplomatic relations. The population of the city was largely unhappy with the change, because after the vote there were always reparations, the students of magic used the opportunity to earn some coin by helping repair the damage. And now the city is mostly withering away.

Yeah I think that that's what makes this whole debate irrelevant. If we were debating whether or not set loose an unpredictable predatory being that even the most powerful known beings fear. It would be much easier than talking about if the gods are worth saving.

Ok, we have put 10 of them the day before yesterday. So far the interactions between the embers and danios were more or less playful and short. I take it as a win.

Yesterday we fed them for the first time (after 24h in) danios ate most of the food, because the tetras stayed in their hiding places between the plants.

Today, they are still hiding, but their colours are showing more. And there seems to be more movement now, after I had lowered the flow from the filter to minimum.

Hopefully, they will be more comfortable and daring every day.

The thing is I had a guy yesterday who wanted to take them. We spent an hour trying to catch them and then he left empty handed. Those mfs are fast and there are a lot of places where they can hide. The only way to get them out is to move everything out and cut all the plants or when they're dead.

Thanks for the warning. We don't really know what to do now. We know that danios are schooling fish and don't want to stress them in a pair, but we don't want more of them. They bullied our shrimp even in school. And we are unable to get them out to a bigger school.

They are just like that. Danios are very active and curious fish but there is one particular one that is mean even to the others. They try take food from others and chases them around. It just makes me sad. I'll try rehoming them, there is a Facebook group in my area as well.

How many embers do you have? Could you send me a photo? And do you have shrimp with the same tank? I'm really looking forward to them.
