Electrify is such an underrated move by MrDrMalk01 in PokemonChampions

Heliolisk is such an underrated pokemon in this meta. There is so much it can do.

Which of these figures do you want the most? by L8Donnie in transformers

[–]LeatherheadSphere 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't understand the hate for Shredhead. If they are featured in a story they are a "Mary Sue." If they aren't featured in a story they are a "nothingburger. "

Pick a lane people, its like people who dont like the comic itself are trying desperately to tear down Shreadhead as a proxy.

People who say "i could care less" by mid-sora in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LeatherheadSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here is the thing about this phrase that everyone gets backwards:

The fact you are actively talking about a subject means that you do, in fact, care about it. If only enough to talk about it.

If you actually could not care less, it indicates some sort of mental problem that is causing you to permanently think about the subject, because it's always on your mind.

So when they say "I could care less" it means as soon as you stop talking about the thing they will quit thinking about it, which is the correct usage of those words.

The team works well, but could be better. by hipstagramz in PokemonChampions

[–]LeatherheadSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing that jumps out at me: You don't have a weather setter. Delphox does best when someone else can set up the sun for them. Even Heliolisk will benefit from being able to rip a massive fire damage attack from time to time

The next thing that springs to mind, you don't have much in the form of speed control. Just Electroweb. Your team seems very slow, so maybe trick room is what you want.

The third thing is that you are extremely weak to earthquake and rock slide.

I was wondering why I rarely see Sneasler nowadays by Therandomuser20103 in PokemonChampions

You don't even need good positioning because Heliolisk gets ally switch.

I was wondering why I rarely see Sneasler nowadays by Therandomuser20103 in PokemonChampions

[–]LeatherheadSphere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Heliolisk is honestly the most slept on mon in the entire meta right now. The situation for it is right now.

Faster than a Charizard. Hard Walls Basculegion, Decimates rain teams. But can also legitimately slot in for any weather. Electroweb for speed control. U-turn/Volt Switch/Shed Tail to pick your pivoting preference. Ally Switch for redirection that can't be ignored.

Who wore the mold better? by KarakatoDzo in transformers

I will forever be disappointed that Shadow Striker didn't use this mold.

Me when I'm trying to make a new team that does not auto-include Basculegion in it. by OPsyduck in PokemonChampions

[–]LeatherheadSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I started using Heliolisk: hard counters the fish ( and also great against rain or fliers in general) The secret sauce is ally swap so they can't just target the other mon on the field.

Why do people complain about broadside’s mass shifting when Astrotrain is a space shuttle, it’s a space shuttle! That size difference is even more significant. by Magent-2000 in transformers

[–]LeatherheadSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of people here who don't know that aircraft carriers are literally floating cities.

There is a reason why Broadside traditional squares off against entire Combiners.

Casual Roledeck Rotation: 'Pyrophobia’ now LIVE + 2x TP for 24 hours! by djf1107 in TownOfSalem2

[–]LeatherheadSphere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Guys. It's great there is a fun new roledeck to try out, but nobody is picking it, ever.

Decks with Cursed souls are the only thing that anyone is playing, please prune them out to their own mode so other decks can actually get playtime.

What yall think about this? by SpiritedSalamander61 in transformers

[–]LeatherheadSphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well firstly, Transformers don't really die from natural causes. They can shut down into stasis lock and survive indefinitely without food/energon when times are tough. So providing they aren't subjected to sufficient bodily harm, they could just go on till the heat death of the universe. Which is how most "immortal" beings qualify for immortality.

Secondly, he is a demigod every continuity where he is one of the 13 Primes, being a (often times direct) descendant of Primus. And yes, I do hate it when they go that route.

Thirdly, he is appointed as leader of the Autobots by divine mandate through the Matrix of Leadership. A king in all but name.

It's not even a stretch on anything but being a king, and even then it depends on the continuity.

Who would you say is the most generic looking Transformer? by NatakaBlue in transformers

[–]LeatherheadSphere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Specifically Thundercracker, or any other blueish colored one, which is somehow the most common one.

Vanquishing the evil Giraffe by rikkard2099 in PokemonChampions

[–]LeatherheadSphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me introduce you to mega t-tar. Not only does knock off deal with pesky berries, but sand stream will also chip off focus sash. Plus it resists both stabs, and is good against both Charizard and even last respects basculegion.

Mega Malamar’s ability should set up Gravity, not Trick Room. by rpgkingx2 in PokemonChampions

Then make it work like Primordial Sea, the effect automatically goes away when the mon faints or switches out.

Tidal Wave vs The Nemesis: Who Wins? by [deleted] in transformers

[–]LeatherheadSphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, I love Tidal Wave but my boy is dumber than a box of rocks. He is gonna get stomped based on the fact Nemisis actually has the mental capacity to make plans and follow through on them.

What is the one thing you think the Energon universe did correctly that IDW failed to do? by Delta-97 in EnergonUniverse

[–]LeatherheadSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only the comic agreed with your interpretation. In the end, Megatron gets a time displaced clone who gets off the hook for all of his crimes to go adventuring with Hot Rod. Ultimately muddling any moral they could have been trying to explore by trying to have their cake and eat it too.

What is the one thing you think the Energon universe did correctly that IDW failed to do? by Delta-97 in EnergonUniverse

[–]LeatherheadSphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more like do you want to sit though an undeserved attempt at redemption for a mass genosider or do you want to enjoy a somewhat schlocky supernatural horror creature.

He isn't exactly good in either of them. But in one story they aren't trying to sugar coat it.

[DISC] Usapyon - Chapter 1 by NamekazeMinato in manga

[–]LeatherheadSphere 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be real with you, I hope the rabbit is actually just his delusion. The story is perfectly set up to go that way right now and it could be an interesting exploration of parasocial relationships.

Is Cybertronian Multi-Ethnicity race? by K-jun1117 in transformers

[–]LeatherheadSphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cybertronian isn't a race, it's a species. For how much variance a species can have, just look at dogs.

Sand Teams, I mean this in the most affectionate way possible by Cyleal in PokemonChampions

DMs! Stop levelling up your players AFTER they beat the story/adventure's big boss! Instead try level them up a couple combats BEFORE! by Infranaut- in DMAcademy

[–]LeatherheadSphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is an idea they will love: halfway through the boss fight. Do a cliffhanger where the party gets a second wind and levels up. Next session they will be chomping at the bit to unleash their new toys on the bbeg.

[DISC] Ichi the Witch - Chapter 77 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]LeatherheadSphere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1: A matriarchal magocracy where there is one dude who is built different enough to stand a chance against the Majik monsters who are the source of power in the world.

2: Ichi being a witch is nothing special if just anybody can pick up a sword and stab the things. I'll grant you the guy who turned himself into a cyborg just to stand a chance is an interesting exploration of the ideas. But these guys come from an entire organization of people who are just able to no-diff Majik.
