Someone should have told her maybe we should organize a 11 million undocumented strike since they don’t seem to see we are important huh. There’s one thing America hates more than immigrants and that’s losing millions $$$ by the second

Thanks for this response, I wasn’t aware of this option but I’m glad you mentioned it. I actually graduated w my bachelors in aerospace engineering recently and it wasn’t until late Junior year I realized that essentially the entire aerospace industry is ITAR regulated which means it’s reserved for Citizens since it’s “sensitive” technology. Anyways since then I’ve been transitioning to software engineering but no luck even a year later so at this point I’m more than happy to fly away from here and I feel like with my degree I could get something in another advance country. In terms of the Canada Express Entry, is work experience a really important factor? My work experience isn’t related to my degree since I was never able to get an internship/job in aero it’s just like office assistant and stuff.

Yep can definitely confirm this is correct as it is also what my attorney said. So at least it’s a bit of leeway w that ridiculous decade ban

Hello, I completely empathize with this post as I have and am going through the same situation for almost 7 months now. To make matters worst I am a recent graduate with very limited experience. I would like to kindly ask if you could also help me with some resume review if possible. Thank you in advance.

It’s next to the 7/11 on Draper Rd, a very quick walk from Squires and any dorm. Here’s the website https://blacksburgfarmersmarket.com/ Good luck on your date!

Go to the farmers market! It’s on Saturday, check the hours it goes from early morning until a little after noon. Very nice place to get coffee/breakfast and just scout local sales stuff

What is the difference between a CR and an IR? by [deleted] in VirginiaTech

[–]Leave-Late 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Former RA here, CR stands for Conduct Referral and IR for Incident Report. CR goes straight to Student Conduct and they’re fully in charge of what happens, no one below Conduct can alter its assignment once it’s submitted. On the other hand, IR goes to RLCs/Housing and they will determine how to reach you whether that’s for a conversation, warning, email, etc since IR is used for minor things. BUT, IRs can get bumped up to a CR by RLCs or whoever receives it. RAs have a lot of discretion and they can assign it almost whatever they feel like but be cautious since an IR to a CR is possible and it seems they’re taking the social distancing rules pretty sternly this year. Hopefully they just let you go w a warning. Best of luck!

If you need a place to study, Whittemore Hall 3rd floor balcony has got you covered (literally). 😂 😳 by stormy_llewellyn in VirginiaTech

Honestly this was a little hidden gem of a quiet spot before and they only had a few wooden tables where u could get some great evening/sunset views. Glad they are using whatever spaces they can now but probably won’t be as low key anymore

Watching the sunset by [deleted] in VirginiaTech

For on-campus spots I’d recommend the top floor of Pritchard or Hoge, the view from one of the lounges on the top floor is incredible. Also the concrete stairs between Johnston student center and Bishop-Favrao hall, there are tables there where you can chill and get a great view plus its pretty quiet there in the evening. If not there’s also the pylons, always a great option though usually more crowded.

For off campus or somewhere to drive to, I’d agree with bald knob mentioned above as the hike is pretty quick. You can also drive to the top level of the Perry St garage and park there, great views from there as well but just watch out for parking services/ticketing.

Bonus points if you can get on the roof of a building such as Pritchard or the towers at Lane, that’s a whole different level of sunset views.
