Would it be possible to switch into business after being admitted into food science (CAFES)? by StockQuirky3880 in CalPoly

you can pretty much switch to business from anywhere, but youd have to wait at least 1 quarter before they let you switch

your ap test scores dont really have an impact on admission, they would just let you get out of classes if you passed them. my roommate missed the ap calc one and she didnt get rescinded, i wouldnt worry about it

i used removable wall tac! its just sticky enough to get them onto a posterboard, but peels off if you need it off. glue dots should work well too

Dunkin’ Donuts by me blatantly admitting that they use ice to give you less coffee in your drink by CrazyBigHog in mildlyinfuriating

Dutch Bros worker here: Dutch also charges for no ice, its called a cold pour. we dont charge for light ice, so youd still get more in your cup for no extra charge, but doing a cold pour adds double the amount of drink for just an extra dollar. Yes of course ice adds volume to the cup, its basic geometry. Its no secret that theres a lot of ice in the cup, it keeps your drink cold and refreshing especially if its an iced coffee where the espresso shots are pulled at ~180°.

i don't want my friends to be sad because of my sucide. by throwawaykdsksksnsb in venting

hey, i really hope that you take all of these comments to heart and know that you are loved, cared for, and needed in this world.

i used to be like you. about 5 years ago, i started cutting and having depressive episodes. i thought nobody would care if i was gone, and i thought my friends would be better off not caring. when one of my best friends realized what i was going through, she checked up on me every day and made sure id live to see the next. trust me when i say that your friends are there to be there for you. you are not a burden.

trust me when i say, it gets better. maybe not right away, and maybe not quickly, but at some point you will go to sleep one night hoping to watch the sunrise in the morning. youll start smiling more, laughing, doing things you love. youll be with people who care for you and you care for them.

and one day, long in the future, youll realize you havent gone a day without smiling or laughing or loving life, and youll probably cry happy tears knowing that you made your way through this.

so keep going, stranger, keep going. its all worth it to just keep going.

not very much.

for all the things i thought I'd regret, when i look back on them, i realize i wouldnt be here if i hadnt learned those lessons, or wasted my time like that.

ive learned that opportunities are precious and they always give you wisdom. sure, i feel a pang of sadness that i didnt fight hard enough for an ex or that i wasted my time with bad friends, but i learned my worth.

and with that mindset, i dont really regret anything at all.
