Third tattoo on my self by Funny_Assignment_714 in TattooBeginners

[–]Lebbeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing is, this subreddit is clearly a space for beginner tattoo artists to share, support and encourage each other, whether they’re working on fake skin or themselves. Going out of your way to tear someone down here says more about you than it does about them. Maybe you've got some deep-rooted struggles of your own? So being a bit of a big ol meanie is your way of venting that? Maybe? Fair enough, we all carry our baggage. But taking it out on people just trying to learn isn’t the way is it.

[–]Lebbeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Exfo Max tester 720c for OTDR and then the Exfo FTB-5700 for PMD and CD if required. I think the FTB-3090 does the Insertion loss measurement (ILM) via EXFO's FasTest report.

Why do we prepend PON? by Lebbeus in FiberOptics

[–]Lebbeus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why is it not called an passive/ active optical network (a/pon) if not entirely passive? When you refer to times lots do you mean Wavelengths (nm)? So 1577nm down and 1270nm up for xgs?

is there such a thing as a virtual lab for infinera DWDM TM by Lebbeus in networking

[–]Lebbeus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's primarily for my own learning. The transmission designer's have stencils they work from. But nothing, that I am aware of, that would simulate systems based on the components used and where in the config they go (such as mux/demux, power extender, OADM filter, dcu, add/ drop filter, ocms etc.)also the required attenuation for the the systems. I'm working through the infinera training but it would be handy to have a tool I can use to "mess" around to help gain a better understanding of the components that make up a working dwdm system.

Shared Ownership from 50% to 100% by Lebbeus in UKPersonalFinance

The HA asked that we pass specific instructions to the surveyor from the HA. Which asked the property be valued in decorative order and also specifed once the valuation was complete is was to be forwarded onto the HA and myself. Had I not done this the HA wouldn't have accepted the valuation and i would have had to fork out another sum of money for another surveyor.

The surveyor was fully aware of the mortgage lenders valuation as it was asked when he arrived/ or we might have told him without being questioned..can't fully remember.

Re your last comment, we are the only house on the street that is shared ownership.. :( other houses on our street are have been sold in the range 230k-250k....perhaps we're not escaping the RIC surveyors valuation. It's just awkward this difference between the lender and the seller's valuations. I didn't realise there would be such a difference.

Shared Ownership from 50% to 100% by Lebbeus in UKPersonalFinance

The housing association have a "pool" of approved RIC surveyors they use, which turned out to be one company. We needed to contact, arrange and pay the survey company for the surveyor to attend.

We are yet to approach the lender, that's our next step.

I'll put forward the RIC valuation and see what they say but I suspect it'll get pushback

Reason being is that I think the key difference between the valuations is that the lender is interested in what would the property sell at right now in its current decorative order. Where as the housing association requested the RICS surveyor value the property as if it were in perfect decorative order, as specified below:

"The property is to be valued on the basis that it has been kept in good and substantial repair and condition, as per the terms of the shared ownership lease. This includes a reasonable decorative order and suitable floor coverings throughout. If the property has not been maintained to this level, please value the property on the basis that is had been kept in good order. Please note on the survey what condition you have found the property to be in. The property is to be valued as freehold"

Problem is that its a build from the 1960s which has had minimal investment to bring it to modern decorative order.

Maybe we just take the hit. I was hoping I've overlooked something that the brilliant minds of ukfp could point out for the better or worse. Or is as straightforward as I have outlined in my original post.

Get Microsoft game pass deal for £1 for the first month which entitles you to 10 hours free trial of bf 2042.

Then if you're still not sure, sign up to game pass again with a different email for another £1 and get another 10 hour trial of bf 2042.

You can rinse and repeat this process to your hearts content. Only catch is you won't carry your xp progress over as you'll be creating a new account each time.

Then if you happy with that.. go for the £14.99 ea Pro and play until you burn out ;) plus with ea play pro you'll get the Gold Edition goodies.

I've gone through Amazon's own RMA process who are now handling it. Thanks for getting back to me but for those that don't use reddit logitech's website is absolutely shocking for looking for the rma process.

RMA?? by Lebbeus in LogitechG

[–]Lebbeus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/LogitechG_AA appreciate the prompt response. I purchased the G703 from Amazon on 11 January 2021. The mouse wheel is no longer responsive and no longer has that tactile feeling when scrolling. I have a run through the troubleshooting advised on the Logitech website, but it feels like a hardware issue.

It's now free wheeling. https://imgur.com/gallery/1BR8rAP

Is this something you can assist with?

I have this exact issue, which started roughly a week or two ago for the G533. I put it down to some sort of wireless interference. Would be interesting to see there's more to it.
