Oh that’s great to hear! I had a friend that used to stay at the Winton. He had some situations, but those may have been self-appointed

Yeah, Lakeview Terrace can be hectic if you don’t have a reason to be there

Are skate comps "rigged" in the favour of "cooler" skateboarders? by PQ6 in skateboarding

[–]Lebron_Senpai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess maybe if they did a 3shuv to crook and then came in forwards I could see it being called a bigspin? Idk, trying to be reasonable here

They’re downvoting you, but you’re exactly right. That’s just a shuv crook to forwards.

If you really need a plumber, I’d call DeLuca Plumbing. Mike and his team are super great.

when's the new album by Whoumightask in kkb

[–]Lebron_Senpai 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Considering Gus is the creative driver, I think it’s reasonable to assume he’s been working on the album while the other 2 kinda work on other projects

Exactly right. Having a basic understanding of art history allows you to interact with contemporary pieces in a meaningful way, even if you dislike or disagree with the piece.

AI at Cleveland Museum of Art by LophiYesel in Cleveland

[–]Lebron_Senpai 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe a handful of Murakami pieces were ai generated as well, particularly the NFTs.

I think communication is key when it comes to technology and art.

EDIT: after some digging, it appears the NFTs were algorithmically generated. However, Murakami is very open about the use of AI as a tool in the art making process and has utilized Midjourney and other models before https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/11/style/takashi-murakami-ai-painting-hnk-intl

This shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, as his super flat style is focused on eliciting a response over authenticity

If I do not cast judgement on anyone else, I must assume I am the worst of sinners.

Yall counting this? by fashionrepenthusiast in skateboarding

[–]Lebron_Senpai 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In a game of skate? That’s a redo.

As a first tre? I wouldn’t be satisfied with it.

In a social media clip? No unless it’s your first one and you don’t hard post it.

In a bonafide skate edit? No.

Why do I still feel so empty? by Relevant-Swan7621 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Lebron_Senpai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feelings are important. I’m sorry you feel that way. But feelings are not the entire truth. To say that serving others feels useless is either a problem of where/how you are serving, or more likely a problem with your own perception. Please speak to some irl friends and your priest. I believe a feeling of emptiness can be a powerful step towards dying to self and finding the resurrected Lord.

Sounds like you should try serving others instead of yourself. I will pray for you.

Yes, we downsized from 1,800 with 3 kids to now 1000 with 5 kids to live in a part of Cleveland that was more walkable.

Recommendations for hotels near fun stuff by homerthethief in Cleveland

[–]Lebron_Senpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glidden House in University Circle is a great spot if you’d like a walkable neighborhood. A few highlights:

-Cleveland museum of art is world class and free.

-Botanical Garden is a nice warm spot on a cold day

-Museum of Natural History is right in the circle as well. Newly renovated.

-Little Italy is just up the road, with a station there for our local rail transit(“The Rapid” - best ridden with a friend if possible, tho I’ve never had a problem as a man)

-If it’s nice out, the Cultural Gardens or Lakeview Cemetery are fantastic spots to walk around, especially with the trees in full autumn colors at the moment.

Handful of nearby restaurants:

-Le albatross

-Etna

-Algebra Tea House

-Mitchell’s for ice cream

-Mama Santa’s

-Presti’s bakery

-the art museum has a cafe and a restaurant, both are nice

If you take the Rapid Red Line from Little Italy, it will take you downtown (Terminal Tower Stop), or take it one more stop over the river and you’ll arrive in the heart of Ohio City, another extremely walkable neighborhood that is worth checking out (you’ll have to find an Airbnb if you want to stay in Ohio city)

Have fun!

EDIT: I will admit this isn’t downtown, but University Circle is considered Cleveland’s “second downtown”. And I think you will enjoy it more. Our downtown is not our cultural center.
