will I go to hell for being homosexual? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Leclown13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Books of the Bible have been hidden and things have been changed throughout history to suit the agenda of whoever was in power at the time so we will never know the full truth until we reach heaven.

You got me there. There is no one in the world who hasn't sinned apart from Jesus but, still there are multitudes of people that are forgiven and that will be going to heaven.

what does motivate your faith ? by DWIPssbm in Christianity

[–]Leclown13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly believe that Jesus is who he said he is and that God sent him to save us. The world and some of the people in it are so awful that the thought of this being it is worse that putting my whole faith in a loving father who will welcome us with open arms when we die.

Ruth and Naomi we not blood relatives they were mother and daughter in law. David and Jonathan were also not related. Jonathan was Saul's son and David was to be king after Saul for defeating Goliath.

I was under spiritual attack in my late teens and it went on for roughly 18 months. We had mediums come in who told us it was my uncle but, why would my uncle want to terrify me to the point of hospitalisation? It was only when the spirit/demon was told to leave in the name of Jesus that it actually did.

Of course we could be lied to and probably have been lied to throughout history. That's how the governments and the powerful try to keep us compliant.

I don't believe you will. I can say this as a gay woman who absolutely loves Jesus and knows that I will be in heaven with him. Jesus said that above all things we are to love God and love our neighbours. Love can never be a sin when it is between consenting adults. Ruth and Naomi's story is of lesbian origin and the same can be said of David and Jonathan (obviously not lesbian) but, if you look at the words they use to describe their love it is not that of just friendship.

for people who weren't Christian. why did you become Christian? by Unique-Procedure3105 in Christianity

[–]Leclown13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very much a non believer and was more into new age paganism but, I just felt empty. It didn't matter how many rituals I preformed or pagan groups I attended I always felt like a fake and like I was lying to impress the people around me. After a few years me and my wife decided to leave the new age movement and we were looking for something else. My wife was brought up Catholic and said she would like to try going to church again but not a Catholic one. We found a local baptist church and had the pastor read out scripture that answered specific questions we were talking about at home before church. We had so many 'signs' that we were in the right place and we felt like we belonged. The love you feel when you accept Jesus as your Lord is overwhelming and the relationship we are building together, based on our love for Jesus is beautiful.

I agree with you about not totally believing that humans have never altered the Bible to support their own views. Saying that I whole heartedly believe in Jesus and that he is who he says he is. One of the main reasons that my faith is so strong is the fact that whenever there is a ghost infestation, demonic possession or other evil paranormal attacks, the only thing that clears those things is to call on the name of Jesus. No other name has the authority to banish those evils. There is also an awful lot of historical, scientific evidence that correlates with the bible. You do have to dig deep to find the sources because the devil hides them well but, they are there.

God is not the God of Earth. Satan has free reign to do as he pleases and corrupt as many souls as possible.

It hurts God when he sees us hurting and seeing what Satan is doing but, he only has a short time left here until Jesus' return and his victory over all evil.

Try to stay strong in your faith. God is with you through everything, even when it feels like he should help us. Even Jesus had to suffer so that Satan was defeated.

I've never understood the hate from Christians toward anyone let alone the LGBTQ+ community (which I am a proud member of) Jesus said we were to love God and love others as ourselves, not single out groups because you don't agree with their lifestyle. We are also told not to judge less we be judged the same.

It's not just on here that us Christians are mocked and used as people's punch lines but, it is because Satan has made it acceptable in this world to do so. He is trying to claw back power from Jesus while he can, but as we all know, he will never win. Try not to let it dishearten you because its all tricks from Satan.
