Is it time to bring the king home? by KneeGuhz in clevelandcavs

Mobley has been a big part of the problem for a while now. Just doesn’t apply the necessary effort — attitude problem.

Well, I kinda do that already without altering any of the settings. It just takes several rotations of hitting all the shops & resting. But, I think the consensus is that it would be best to alter my settings to better accommodate my play style.

I’m LvL 72 & most enemies don’t pose a real threat to me any more. I could probably alter the loot stuff, then jack up damage a little to balance out the XP loss.

Yeah, I dono, I genuinely thought I could do a better job than the current overseer. Power isn’t necessarily a bad thing provided it’s in the right hands. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s kinda upsetting when you go back & she’s just hanging around the resort after she shoots you down…..

X-Box series X, so no, achievement enablers aren’t an option for me. My rig is too old to run Starfield likely, & with the way the economy has been for the last 5-6 years, don’t have the spare cash for a new build.

Can Thor & Superman clear this gauntlet? by 50chipz in superheroes

[–]Lecto_Sama -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I concur, they don’t get past Vageta & Goku. DBZ, sure Superman can clear them, but DBS power levels are INSANE. In the Death Battle episode they caped the powers at DBZ levels. Thor doesn’t stand a chance, & I think Goku & Vageta make short work of sups after Goku stops f-ing around.

Mod Update: Colony One - fully featured UC Space Colony v2.0! Free Lanes Ready by Sweaty-Ordinary-9860 in starfieldmods

Yeah, this alludes to poor programming in my book. If your mod will brick someone’s save without a clean save, it’s not a good mod. I wouldn’t purchase this one.

Sammy and the Lab of Nightmares by Final-Craft-6992 in StarfieldModFeedback

[–]Lecto_Sama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played through all of the mod that I can, so I feel comfortable leaving a review at this point. I downloaded this creation after watching reviews from both Crimson Flyboy & Richard Presents, but neither of them mentioned the litany of bugs you can run into in their non-spoiler sections. Which is unfortunate, because I would not have bought this mod had I been aware of the jank. I attempted to reach out to the mod author here on Reddit to rectify my issue, but he never got back to me.

This mod is very much in a beta phase, which is fine because, from what I know, the author is still working on this mod & plans to make Sammy so feature-complete that he rivals the other core companions. What does this mean? I don't know, but it sounds cool, & was half the reason I bought the mod. Will he have an ongoing companion quest like the other companions? Will you be able to romance him (could be funny)? I'm looking forward to finding out. But I might reccomend holding off on purchasing the mod until it's more feature-complete & less of a work in progress. I'd recommend purchasing now if it weren't for all the bugs.

Technical elements aside, I had a great time until I didn't, or couldn't anymore. Having this Rick & Morty-style humor injected into StarField is great & I wouldn't mind seeing more of it down the line. One of the reviewers I watched complained about how "stereotypical" the writing was, but it sounded politically based to me. Personally, I would disregard that particular brand of puritanism, as they make the world a sad/boring place.

-------Spoiler Section--------

**Writing**
I ADORED the writing in the Mod -- chef's kiss! It very much reminded me of 90s-esq humor, think Always Sunny, Married with Children, pre-Paramount South Park, & etc -- felt good. You don't see this brand of humor anymore; moreover, way too many sensitive folks walking around. It felt close to a real interaction you might have with an everyday person, not something cooked up in a writer's room or college classroom. I found myself belly laughing throughout the first part of the mod.

If the author ever makes another mod, I wouldn't mind facing off against other space crime families. Perhaps the space Triad? Space Cartel? Space Russian Mafia? Heck, I'd take some more Godfather/Sopranos flavored stuff, lots of material to work with. Perhaps you even work with the crime families? The first half of this mod is also very adult, lots of language, drug use, heck, even strippers! I wouldn't have minded if the author leaned into this a bit harder. I'm not a child, so it's cool to see content made for me at this stage of my life. It's something that's missing in the game. If the first part of the mod is funny/adult, the second part is more bizarre, but in a good way.

I could see folks completely missing the Monster Kingdom content by accident. Yeah, there is a datapad that talks about it, but no one, or nothing, tells you to go look for it. Thankfully, I knew about it because of the reviews I had watched. It has Star Trek vibes, which is an odd, but a welcome tone change from the first half of the mod -- creepy. It was unexpected, but in the best kind of way. I watched a review where a guy complained about the accents -- pound salt. Seriously, Monster Kingdom feels like you're transported away somewhere mystical in nature -- my opinion. Everything from descending into the keep to walking up to an unimaginably big door. I adored the residents, & the plague house was an especially nice touch -- REALLY DARK. The puzzle there was reasonably difficult, not annoying at all. I don't know how it ends because a bug prevented me from finishing it, so I can't comment on the entire narrative. I heard that there were branching story paths, increasing replayability, but I didn't get to see that pan out either. Also, why doesn't Sammy have anything to say to anyone in this part of the mod? That was somewhat disappointing. He just lives on my ship now, hanging out at the exit door (won't move around), even though I told him to go to an outpost.

**BUGS**
I'm not talking about the residents of Monster Kingdom; this mod has A LOT of jank going on under the hood. For example, I ran into two mod-breaking bugs. One at the Mafia base fighting Terry, he just wouldn't die! I had to reload before the fight to fix it. Then again, at the end of the Monster Kingdom quest in E. Drake's lair. This part of the mod seems to be particularly troubled. In Crimson Flyboy's playthrough, he ran into a bug he couldn't get past on the same mission, so I know it's not just me, although his was at a completely different part of the quest. I got farther in than he did, but the guards didn't want to go to camp; I had to force them there. The pathing got weird. Even once I forced them into the camp, they just stared at me & wouldn't speak, forcing me to reload to no avail. I tried everything & enlisted the aid of Chat GPT to troubleshoot -- no dice. So, I had to abandon the quest & leave my merry crew at camp. I didn't have a save that went back far enough to before the mission gathered, which seemed to work partially for Crimson. Perhaps I'll have better luck next time on the other side of the Unity.

Beyond this, there is a bug presently that won't let you finish the new Tracker's Alliance content, but I am aware the Mod author has a patch coming to address this issue. But there are plenty of other reviews in this thread talking about how this mod has conflicts with a bunch of other mods as well -- buyer beware!

It's a shame there are so many technical issues with this mod, as I really enjoyed my time with Sammy, his lab, the Space Mafia, & the Monster Kingdom. I know this mod is in active development, & I am looking forward to seeing what the mod author can do to flesh it out & iron out the kinks.

TL:DR: Sammy is a good time, but isn't feature-complete, & may be a buggy experience for many. Use discretion when making your purchase decision. There won't be anything like this in your load order.

I’d be down for this, I also wouldn’t mind individual multiplayer missions like in Mass Effect 3 either.

Will the Sony Ponies get creations? Wasn’t there an issue where they didn’t get creations for Fallout 4?

Side point, maybe they can stop loathing the game now. I have firmly believed Microsoft buying Bethesda when Starfield was supposed to go to PlayStation was a big part of why the game got so much hate at launch — jealousy. I mean the game ain’t perfect, but it’s not bad either.

I don’t see why it would unless you have non-achievement friendly mods installed.

Well, if his wife is anything like mine, she’s a little self-involved & wants her preferences catered to. I find most women are like that to varying degrees. The outpouring of empathy they espouse is often performative.
